After the Ceremony

Are you going to have your guest's throw anything (birdseed) or blow bubbles?

I haven't really thought about this but I don't think I want them to do anything....is that ok?

I think that would be fine. You'd be expected to provide whatever it would be, so if they don't have anything handed to them, they can't throw it.

Oh, and our guests will get bubbles to blow.

  • We're not doing anything.  Neither of us cared one way or the other, so it just didn't seem like something we should spend time/money on.

We're not having our guests do anything either. I think the whole idea is a little silly.

We didn't have anybody throw anything or have them wait around.

I personally do not like waiting outside while the B & G take 45 minutes to take pictures.  We had a cocktail hour which after the WP recessed, the officiant made an announcement for guests to go to the reception hall for cocktail hour.

But if it's important to you I like bubbles or ribbon wants (that way you are not littering).

Also you may want to check with the ceremony location...some venues wil have restrictions on what, if any thing, you can throw.

  • I'm also in the camp with nothing being waved, blown or thrown at us.

Our guests did not throw (or blow) anything.
