Bridal Extravaganza?

Hi Ladies,

I was wondering if anyone had been to one of the Houston Bridal Extravaganza events and if you found it useful?  We're doing a destination wedding in October and I'm about finished planning.  But I thought it would be fun to walk around anyway and I still need jewelry.  I would appreciate any advice on if there is jewelry at the bridal show or any other places in Houston where you found your jewelry.

    I went to the bridal extravaganza at GRB a few months ago. I honestly didn't see alot of jewelry booths. We walked around and entered the contests, I received numerous emails afterward trying to make appts with me by florists, limo companies, wedding planners, etc. I didn't find it as useful as I thought but it was nice to walk around and  see how some tables/chairs were decorated, I assume they were for you to see the linens rentals and wedding planners if you want to book them....

    Harwin is a great source...  Mia Couture carries an awesome line called Haute Bride but it is pricy.  Have you looked at Dillards/Macys/Ann Taylor, etc..

    I went to the one at the GRB and wanted to get the heck out of there within 5 minutes of arriving, but maybe that's just me!!

    For bridal jewelry, you should try Etsy. The Bridal Extravaganza is fun, but if you are mostly finished planning, you probably won't get much out of it.

    Thank you for all of the advice ladies!  Based on this info the Bridal Extravaganza probably wouldn't be too useful for me.

    Jobie02 - Thanks for the Haute Bride jewelry recommendation.  I looked online and love their pieces.  They're probably out of my price range but I'll check them out.

    I bought a bracelet that is Stella Dot or whatever that brand is on ebay for $35.  If you find something at Haute bride,  check ebay.
