need help with venue

Hi all. i have a budget of $5000 for venue and food and reall want to have it near the  ocean or any water. anyone know of anywhere that is in that price range. i know im probably pressing my luck hoping for somewhere that cheap but any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated. Currently living in WA state but moving back to RI soon

Hi and welcome to the board! $5000 for venue/food is do-able, it just depends on a few factors like how many people you are having and the day and time of the year. If you can provide a few more details, the knotties and I can make a few suggestions.

Iim sorry i forgot to add those. we are looking at approximatly 60 people and hoping for july but will go into off season like beginning of may to have a cheaper venue

My dear you have a lot of options! A venue that includes a ceremony and reception is ideal for brides planning from afar or for a bride who doesn't want too fuss with logistics. Traditional venues like country clubs can also be affordable. Restaurant venues are also a great option because they provide an intimate setting. R.I also has public parks that can host ceremonies for a small fee. Below is a short list of venues ideal for 60 people. I've included links of weddings held there too. You can also look into saving money other ways like no having a videographer and going with an all in one company.  I was a wedding planner and I used DJ MaShane.  There prices start under $1000 even in newport.  http://www.djmashane.com
