I called today to get info on having my rehearsal dinner here.  It seems like it may fit into what we are looking for.  I have never been there before, how is it?  How is the food? Any info would be appreciated!  Thanks

My parents are long time patrons of The Boat House and its sister restaurants. The food is delicious and we always have excellent service. They have a gorgeous patio, so I would have the event outside if at all possible. This restaurant is also part of the Newport Restaurant Group which also owns the NYC, 22 Bowens, etc. If you are holding your wedding at one of these venues, they might be willing to negociate a lower rate per person for the rehearsal dinner. It's obviously a great location overlooking the water, and the patio is a good-sized private space.  The downside I've found (after eating there twice) is the entrees.  Soups, salads and appetizers are good, but the entrees were not that great considering what you've paid.

I actually am getting married at one of their sister companies, Castle Hill.  I talked to the woman from The Boat house about any sort of discount because of that and she said that there unfortunately was not.  Oh well it was worth a shot to ask.
