Crowne Plaza - Plaza Ballroom

Hey..

Has anyone had or been to a wedding at the Crowne Plaza in the Plaza Ballroom?  The Grand Ballroom is already taken on the day I want. My mom and I checked out the Plaza room last Saturday and although they say it can 180, it looked very small to us (but it was set up for a conference).

I keep going back and forth between the Crowne and the Alpine CC!

Any thoughts?

    My FI and I are actually getting married at the Crowne on Saturday. :) We are having our ceremony in a smaller room and then the reception in the Atrium. Is the Plaza Ballroom the room with the sky light and raised ceilings? I remember one of the rooms being very big, just not sure if it was the Plaza or Grand Ballroom.

    Congrats!!! The Atrium room has the skylights right? You're gonna have a blast..there was a wedding in there last Saturday when we were in the hotel..and it looked soo nice done up! The Plaza isnt the big big room thats the Grand ballroom.  I am not in love with the Plaza room..so I am pretty torn..but you cant beat the rates, when they include cake, centerpieces, etc!  We have the room on hold for 10..I have 4 left to make a decision : (

    Thank you! The Atrium is the room next to the restaurant and has floor to celing glass windows. I must have seen the Grand ballroom. That was very pretty! What is it about the other room that you weren't too excited about?

    It just seemed a little blah...and I would need to get chair covers and/or possible lighting to create a more ambiance to the room..which can be more of an expense...where as Alpine i loved the room right away...
