BM Flower Bouquet Alternatives

Hi Ladies!

I'm getting married at the RW Botanical Gardens next October, and I'm worried that having flower bouquets for my BMs is going to be too much in terms of flowers. Do you gals think it's too much, it will blend in too much, or do you think it will look alright?  They are going to be in green dresses, and my other colors are orange, yellow, and charcoal gray.
If you think it's too  much to have them holding flowers, do you have any suggestions as to alternatives?

Thanks!!

I don't understand how having a floral bouquet at a botanical garden filled with plants and flower is too much. It totally fits the theme. There is nothing more natural than to have them have bouquets of blooms. However, if you want an alternative, there are brooch bouquets, paper flowers and hand fans which I did for my girls. They also wore floral wristlets (corsages) too. Another bride on here is having a garden theme and she considered fabric hand fans with an English flair.

I don't think flowers are a problem, but you could do bouquets of feathers if you really wanted something other than more flowers. Use Google Images to search "bridesmaid feather bouquets" and you'll see lots of examples, like these:

I went to one where the BMs carried lanterns. Kind of like this ...

    Or here's more colorful ones:

Hey I'm getting married there too! Actually at my church, but then we'll have the reception there. Yay!

To answer your question - I'm probably doing candle lanterns instead of bridesmaid bouquets, like the ones in the photos above. They will be *significantly* more affordable, probably more visible from further away, and I think they'll look pretty for an evening wedding. I don't think more flowers would be overwhelming in the Botanical Gardens, and you could use what's there as your inspiration for bouquets, but non-flower alternatives would be just as good.
