Village Inn doesn't do Room Blocks anymore?

We are getting married at the Towers this coming Fall, and all of our guests are coming from out of town. I receieved the new rates for the Village Inn/Atlantic House and were told that they aren't doing room blocks anymore. I also noticed that 10 days after our wedding, the rates drop significantly ($50+ a night). I've emailed back and forth with them for a few weeks but I haven't gotten anywhere.
Has anyone else had this issue? It seems silly that they are willing to lose out on this business (end of October) when we will be needing atleast 40 rooms. The Holiday Inn down the street gave us a great rate.

  • hi!
Yes i have this issue. They no longer do them. I have NO idea why, its so stupid.
I made a room block at the hampton inn. but honestly, its only $10 cheaper with teh block so its not a big deal. Its just that the rooms are guaranteed until 30 days before. So I just told guests on our website that the rooms at hte village inn are first come first serve.

  • Isn't it so annoying!? I know the Holiday Inn is right down the street, but the Village Inn is just SOO much more convenient. Oh well

By the way, I am a south ferry church girl too :) My wedding is 2 months after yours!
  • oh fun! i love the south ferry church
Um yes, its super annoying. but if you go there to meet the people i feel like you will see why they are a little backwards. It was like going into the twilight zone when we were there.
the hampton inn was SO nice but its further away just like the holiday inn.

Have you considered renting a house?

I do think they do a AAA discount and military discount, but i can't be positive on that either!
