freaking out a little bit...

OK - so my wedding is 9/14/12 at atlantic beach club. I just found out that the pier restaurant in newport closed down. I also just found out that the pier was the sister restaurant of ABC. should I be worried by this at all?! they cannot close the ABC too! where will I have my wedding?!? should I call my event coordinator over there or just forget it because how much will she be able to tell me? I can't go find another venue now, OMG the most I think about this the more I am freaking out....,maybe I need to calm down though b/c I don't even know for what reason the pier closed and the ABC does too many weddings....there is no way they could close, could they?!

    Do not worry...It is a landlord issue...the Pier leases the restaurant  they operate the business but do not own the property. I don'tknow the specific details but there was an article in the Newport Daily News reviewing the issue. You may want to inquire with your Coordinator to give you peace of mind but The ABC is going nowhere.

    thank you so much for this info! I couldn't imagine they would close or be doing poorly! They have a wedding every weekend! I also just looked it up on Newport Daily News site. thanks again :)

    I would have been concerned, too! But I would be completely shocked if ABC went anywhere! They're always busy, and yummy! So glad that it sounds like you have nothing to worry about :-)

    thanks dberrett! I was little concerned the other day! I contacted a friend whose wedding is there in June and she didnt know of any problems with ABC on it's own either. Looks like everything is good, thank goodness. I am not going through picking another venue again! nightmareee.... :)
