Hi Everyone -
I'm newly engaged and looking at getting married in Summer 2011. We've found a reception venue we liked in Lincoln RI, but did not like the cermony option at that venue. Does anyone know of a ceremony site (either an outside space or a church that will allow our pastor to officiate) in Lincoln?
Thanks!
Re: Lincoln RI Ceremony Venue
If not, what about Chase Farms?
We haven't decided on a venue yet, but we aren't going to book a place without having a good reception AND ceremony option. We did like Kirkbrae for a reception, but did not like it for the ceremony (the outdoor ceremony location is sort of in the parking lot). The ceremony is important to us because it is the beginning of our marriage... it doesn't have to be fancy, but we'd rather it not be happening while people are slamming car doors around us.
Chase Farms is a good idea. Do they allow weddings to be held there? I'll have to check it out. More suggestions are welcome too!
I agree with you, I liked Kirkbrae too, we went an looked 2 weeks ago-- and they are really affordable,---but the ceremony area is literally in the parkinglot, and it was hot under that tent-- its not spacious or airy. I also dont know how I feel about 2 brides in one day, although Im likely getting married on a friday so i dont have to worry about that.
Maybe Lincoln woods too- and look at the banstand at diamond hill park- its not in lincoln but its liek 5 miles from Kirkbrae.

That would be beautiful. call the town of lincoln to see if you can rent space.
But one warning: Theres a huge farm behind my parents house in cumberland and I thought it would be an awesome spot if the grass was cut to erect a tent for a rehearsel dinner-- plus you can literally access it from their back yard-- its probably 20 acres-- and people could use my parents bathroom etc. But I called the town hall and the person there said we can't use it--- (even my parents maintain about 20 feet of it)-- becuase they dont want to "Start a trend" and have people renting out open spaces that arent dedicated to public use.
Just a heads up;---Lincoln might say the same thing
