Saratoga Springs, NY

I'm getting married in a couple of years and would like to find a beautiful yet affordable location for the reception in Saratoga Springs, NY or the close surrounding areas and perhaps have the ceremony there as well.  Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Kathleen

You have tons of options but it all depends on price. How much are you looking at spending per person?

If your in the $100 range you could get married just about anywhere (Gideon Putnam, Hall of Springs, Canfield Casino, etc). For a more affordable venue, check out Longfellows. The place is very nice and also has a full hotel for any out of town guests. If you choose to get married between November and April you can take advantage of their winter wonderland package which is $59 per person.

We are looking into The Saratoga Gaming and Raceway for our wedding. They have a few different venues. We are interested in "The Lodge". Its very reasonably priced ($55 per person) and they have a lovely outdoor space for ceremonies in the warmer months (were getting married in May).

I have lived in Saratoga most of my life and have been planning my wedding for years. If you have any questions on certain venues, chances are I have contacted them and received information. Let me know if you have any questions. Good luck.

If your a budget bride, I would suggest Skidmore College, depending on when your getting married. They have a beautiful Inn off Broadway that would hold 100 indoors for a reception.  If you did it outdoors, you could go up to 300 with a tent.  It only costs $300.00 to rent the space.  They have lovely formal gardens and you could book a few rooms at the inn if you wanted to.  They also do catering at an extremely reasonable rate (probably too low for the Saratoga area)   They also have a small chapel on campus and a gazebo overlooking the pond & fountains, either would be a lovely setting for a smaller wedding.  You don't have to be an alumni to use their facilities.  They also have a new banquet hall that can seat up to 200.

I'm also looking for a outdoor location that is resonably priced and am wondering if anyone has the contact info. for the Skidmore location?

Just call the college and they can direct you to the Surrey Williamson Inn. 518-580-5000.  Probably too late, sorry
