MOH/BM Planning My Shower! EEEEK!

My MOH/best friend and BM/aunt have started planning my shower!!!! They asked me for a list of guests, as well as dates that don't work, and nailed everything down tonight! It's on for March 31. They decided to do a co-ed shower and they are having it here at my house, which is my grandma's home, but she is very oldschool and is making sure her name is not on the invites and she will not be "hosting" as she feels that is tacky (she is my mom figure). This location is just ideal. It's closer than my aunt's and bigger than my MOH's college apartment. We've got people in the county/area, and then a few who will have to drive 3 or 4 hours max, but I don't think they will attend. I don't think they are even inviting FI's OOT family from VA (10 hours away). 

AHHHH I'm stoked.

Me too!  My MOH and cousins are planning a family shower for on March 4th.  A BM is planning a friends/coworkers shower for March 31st.

Question:  My FI's family (FMIL, FSIL, and other relatives) are being invited to the family shower.  Should my FMIL and FSIL also be invited to the friens/coworker shower?

YAY!!!! I know I just sent out my list of names to be invited to my shower and my bachelorette parties! Its such a fun time now that most of the major planning is out of the way and the fun stuff gets to start happening!

Awesome! You all will be having such a great time! I'm opting out of having a bridal shower. I only have two girls in my bridal party and they are both full time nursing school students and one lives in South Carolina. I just do want to burden them with trying to plan a shower. Instead they are taking care of the plans for the bachelorette party! That was the one party I was not missing out on

</div><div>I think that's up to the hostess and what she can afford. If they are invited to the family shower, which I would think would be the one they would want to attend, I would think there is no need for your BM to invite them. I wouldn't think they'd mind not being invited to this one, since it's a different crowd/circle of your friends and they probably won't know as many people at the friends/coworker shower. I would give your BM your guest list and let her decide.

3 of my girlfriends started planning my shower the moment I told them we were getting married, which is crazy.  I wasn't expecting a shower, but now I'm getting 2, because one of my aunts insisted on hosting a family shower for me as well!  So my friend shower is on 3/11, and my aunt still has to set a date for the family shower, but I told her that either 3/18 or 4/1 would be best for me and my FMIL and FSIL to come to (they live 4 hours away, and really want to come).

Aaand, I was told there's a bachelorette party plan underway too.  Oy.  I'm excited, I just never thought I would have any parties like this, so it's a little wierd.  But good wierd.  Actually, I never thought that we would get married, so this is all a little crazy to me.

How exciting! I know my BP is in the midst of planning as well. I gave them my list, but I have no idea when it will be, just that it will be a Sunday and most likely next month. They all know what I want for the bachelorette party too, but I'm planning that with them. No need for surprises there.
