Wording for introducing readings...??

We are having a couple of readings....the first of which is after the declaration of intent.  Should the officiant introduce the reader, or should the reader just come up and begin because it's listed in the program?

Thanks!!

I don't think you normally introduce the readers. People will read the program and know what's going on.

Our officiant introduced our readers with a wording similar to what Stage said.

When I've heard readers at weddings, they were always just introduced with the bare bones: "Jane Smith, sister of the bride, will now read "[name of piece] by [author]."  That seems to me to be all that's necessary.
