Un-RSVP's Rant

I am sooo pissed right now...I had a few last minute RSVPs that put me into a different price bracket for my final head count at my location, so I had to shell out an extra $700 on 7/29. Now those same last minuters un-RSVPed... and now I had to pay this extra money and I can't get it back!!!!soooo annoyed..... is it tacky to invite local friends last minute? I dont want to waste the money....

I'd invite anyone you could to make the extra cost worth it. I had someone tell me this morning that her and her husband might not make it after all, and I straight up told her, "Hmmm, I paid for two plates of food for you two last night, too bad I can't get my money back now." I know that's pretty tacky, but she knows how it is, her daughter got married last fall.  RSVP's are a pain in the a$$ all the way around!

Agreed!  Get your $$'s worth...just tell them that you have more space than you originally thought you'd have and you know it's last minute but you would love to have them.  I hate to say it but you'll probably have some no-shows....we had at least a dozen (probably more but I'm still in denial lol) guests RSVP yes and then they didn't come.  Really sucked but they missed out on a good time!  Hope your friends can make it!!

PLEASE get your moneys worth!!! No, it's not tacky to invite local friends last minute! They'd be more than happy to share the moment with you I'm sure!! Just say HEY! Budget allows us to invite some more guests! Will you come?!?!
