Question about favors + bridesmaids gifts

What are you do as your wedding favors + how much money are you spending? I'm doing sachet bags with candy but I'm not sure how much money I want to spend on the candy. I want to follow with my beach theme but I;m not sure what candy is considered "beachy". Any suggestions?

Oh and what about bridesmaids gifts. What are you getting + how much are you spending? So far I got my girls hand made jewelry but I'm not what else to get. I think I want to spend around $50 on each girl. Any suggestions?

Thanks ladies!

When I think of "beachy" candy I think of taffy.  You can get fralinger's to ship some to you.  In my opinion, the cost of favors may depend on how many guests.  In my case, we're having only 100, so I'm confortable spending a few dollars on each favor without breaking the bank.  I'm planning to order Johnson's Popcorn 2.5oz favors which run $2.50 each.

I'm spending around $50-100 on my BMs.  Each person is getting something a little different.  I got Bridal Party Philosophy gift sets at sephora, vera bradley bags and some ed hardy stuff so far.

I'm not doing favors. I haven't found anything I liked and most of the time guests don't take them anyway, so we're going to donate to charity. Probably around $300-500. For the BM gifts I was going to spend only $50 but I found out how much they're dishes for the bridal shower so I upped the ante. I got them a monogramed tote bag, a wallet, a make up bag, and I'm going to get them a $75 gift card to a spa. It'll be around $100 per girl.

Wow... I'm low budget on this wedding, so we will likely skip favors, unless we can tie them into the decor somehow. BM gifts are tricky. I was planning monogrammed totes as well, but I doubt we'll go over $40- 50/ BM, and knowing my girls, they won't fault us for it.

We were going to do a candy buffet, but then I thought it would be too much work and I really didn't feel like dealing with it.  Instead, we are doing family recipe homemade chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and packaging them in cute bags.  Not expensive and people like edible favors, judging past experience at weddings.

For BM gifts, I'm doing different stuff for each girl...

Small Kate Spade handbags for some, Kate Spade earrings (starfish studs for the beach lover, gold knots for the classic girl, etc), some Alisa Michelle necklaces,  and all are getting Kate Spade jewelry boxes. Plus Coach wristlets, BM dresses and paying for hair for my little sisters..

We are having a photo booth at our wedding.  It serves as favors and a guest book!  It will have our names and wedding date at the bottom of a four photo strip.  Two print out and one is for the guests and the other goes in the guest book!

For BM gifts I am going to give a $50 gift card toward their hair for day of and purchase their earrings for the day of.  I will probably put both of those in a small monogrammed makeup bag. ~$100 a girl!
