Hey everyone. I became engaged recently and I am trying to find a place for my reception. I live in the south jersey area and I have family both in Jersey and Philly. I havent decided on Philly or Jersey Location. I am going to look at The Merion and Lucians Manor this weekend. Do anyone have any suggestions, or feedback they can give me. I would really appreciate it
Re: Need Help finding a venue
At sea, heading to Lisbon, Portugal
I also liked Knowlton Mansion in Northeast Philly & Penn Ryn Mansion in PA, but The Merion offered so much much food and logistically is just easier since I am from the area.
Hint....if you get married at an off time of year the Merion gives really good discounts.
My upcoming (second) wedding is at Auletto's in Deptford which is also beautiful. I have been to weddings here before and they were great. I really like the wine room for the cocktail hour, and if the weather is nice, people can go outside which overlooks the lake.
You might also want to check out Scotland Run Golf Club...it was very pretty there also when I looked at it.
[QUOTE]I'm from the AC area, but a lot of magazines keep showing the Camden Aquarium for weddings. I looked online, and they are pretty resonable for the type of place it is. My high school's prom will be there (I'm jealous...so much nicer than we ever had), but it's in jersey and easily accessible for family from Philly. Just a thought!

I went to a 30th birthday at the Camden Aquarium, it was quite nice and the food was decent.
Thank you all so much for your feedback.
If you are having a smaller wedding I think the Tomasello Winery in Hammonton can be nice. I'd live that venue for a smaller less formal wedding of about 80 people. I'm actually ordering my favors for the wedding from there! Good luck!
Good luck on your venue hunt!!!
