hotels in Mt. Laurel

Need help ladies....I am in VA and I need to block some hotel rooms in Mt. Laurel for my wedding in October.

Wedding is taking place in Voorhees and I am looking for a hotel recommendation in Mt. Laurel.  I know there are a bunch of hotels off of 73 and Fellowship Rd.  Any recommendations?

We want a hotel with a bar so guests have a place to go after the reception if they want.

Thanks!

The Wyndham has a bar and they are very close to the airport and in Mt Laurel. They are very flexible and easy to work with and the rooms are nice.

We're doing our room block at the Hampton Inn in Mount Laurel.  No bar, but they have free breakfast every morning, a major plus in my book!

We went with Wyndham because they offer shuttle service to and from the reception... and they def have a bar that will stay open late

We did our block at the Wyndham also. They had a great price and the fact that they offer shuttle service was big for us. They have a lot of things available to us that we're going to need as we're from out of town and plan on getting ready down there so they have ballrooms and conference rooms available to rent for the afternoon that we can set up to get ready in and are doing a brunch for the bridal party before we get ready as well. They were super nice and helpful!

Same all the PP's said. I'm partial to the Westin b/c that is where my reception/after party is. Their rooms are very clean and spacious and their bar/restaurant is fabulous.

I cant say much about the Marriott but I know they do have a bar there b/c that is where I am having one of meetings with my coordinator.

Aloft..their rooms are very nice, but their bar/restaurant area is not convenient at all. They only open at odd times and the set up was wierd IMO.

I booked the Marriott bc I knew they had a bar.  I would have done differently had I known that the Wyndham offered the shuttle though!

We used the Westin in Mt. Laurel and it was very nice.  The bar was open until 2AM.

I had a horrible experience with the Westin and wouldn't recommend it.  They had all my info on shuttles, schedule, etc.  Guests asked and they were told they had no info.  I made out of town boxes that had all the info in a brochure in there and I confirmed with the manager that I would drop them off and that each person in our block would get one on check in - they didn't!  They had to ask for them (for the people who knew I made them).  So, people were confused, asking questions, getting no answers, getting to the reception late becuase they didn't know what time the shuttle was coming, etc.

Later that night when I got there, they were full of excuses and messed up some rooms.

TERRIBLE!  Sorry for people who are having their wedding there, but I had a bad bad bad experience.  The only thing that went wrong the day of was the Westin.

Hampton Inn does, so I'm definitely taking advantage of this service.

No problem ksukinik! I showed my coordinator this post the last time you posted it and shared it with the hotel. We've had a long talk with The Westin about our expectations so hopefully these issues will not occur!

I'm using the Wingate by Wyndham and the Hyatt Summerfield Suites. I know the Hyatt has a bar, idk about the Wingate. Both offer breakfast and wifi.

As for the shuttle thing, when I was looking around for hotels in Mt. Laurel all the hotes told me they do have a shuttle but they outsourced it to a limo company so you had to pay extra.

2010 Bride to Be - I am actually really glad that you showed it to them!  I really felt slighted and I did talk to them about it, but it really didn't get me anywhere!  At least if you shared it, they will make sure you have a spectacular experience, and know how to do better for you and all other brides!  Good luck and hope your wedding is wonderful.

We used the Hyatt Place and Hyatt Summerfield on rt 73 in Mt Laurel.  The Hyatt Place was super nice when we reserved our room block.  However, our guests had a lot of trouble reserving rooms.  They kept getting told that the hotel was sold out and that there were no rooms left under the block.  When I would call the sales office to find out what was going on they kept telling me we had plenty of rooms left under our block and had no explanation as to why our guests were being told this.  Also I spent a lot of time and money making OOT bags and a large majority of them were not given to the guests (and yes the guests had checked in).  The next day my MIL took a good number of bags home with her.  Just wanted to give a heads up that even though the hotel is nice, the customer service leaves a bit to be desired. No reported problems with the Summerfield.
