Hey ladies, H and I got home from the ILs awhile ago and just unpacked all of our wedding presents and replaced a TON of kitchen stuff. Yay new stuff!! Now I'm gearing up for some football on the treadmill and then lasagna soup later!!

Firsty, table and decor looks great!!!

Wow FTL, can I come to your Thanksgiving?! Ahhh no actually I can't complain since we are having T-day w/ FI's grandparents in FL (The Villages, if anyone has heard of it. Super sweet, huge retirement community). Beach- How exciting that you will be here soon to find your house!! Good luck! Shan- GO PACK :-P FI and I just got back from the jewelers because we wanted to figure out what band to get that would fit w/ my e-ring (so we could start saving now since it's still 5 months away). It's a princess cut w/ a square halo, and the band gets skinnier as it goes down. So not even one band truly fit w/o gaps. I was pretty frustrated until the guy told me they can custom-make a band for me! I can design one myself or base it off one of the other bands I like. Now I have too many options and don't know what to do!

Haha, Sami and Dnbeach, I love that I got you guys addicted to Oregon Trail!  Did you notice I've been hunting for you and repairing your wagons?  I love it!

I've got my Thanksgiving menu ready to go.  It's just me and FI, so nothing over the top, but we're really excited for it.  I've sort of hybrid-ed (yes, I'm making 'hybrid' into a verb - what about it?) a few recipes for stuffing and cranberry sauce and turkey and apple pie.  I'm actually making the apple pie today and sticking it in the freezer!

Yay for Skype!  It's not my FI, but one of my best friends is having immigration issues and has been stuck in Venezuela for 3 months now (she's Venezuelan, and has a legit work visa, but the government is giving her issues so she's waiting) so we had a 2 hour Skype chat yesterday.  It was pretty awesome, and makes me think that 10+ years ago (or hell, even 5 years ago!) that would have cost us a bundle to catch up like that, and it wouldn't have been face-to-face!

Today FI and I are cooking up football appetizers for each other to watch the Pats game.  He's truly fantastic - he made me the bourbon apple cider I posted on Pinterest (yes, he totally stalked my Pinterest to find things I'd like!) and is now making me General Tso's Chicken.  We may have had a small grease fire in the kitchen a few minutes ago, but it's all under control now.  I love him for trying to do something he has no experience with to make me happy.  I'm making him bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers stuffed with cream cheese and sausage and topped with a cheddar cheese breadcrumb crispy layer.  Hopefully it'll be awesome!

I will never visit my in-laws again without staying in a hotel.  Too many animals, too little privacy.  Thank you, no thank you!

Speaking of animals, we didn't get little Calvin so we're waiting now until after the holidays.  It stinks a bit, but it makes sense!  Meanwhile, I'm trying to budget to save up a good bit for when we get married so we don't have to depend on FI's paycheck for a few months in case the Marines take awhile to process his payroll (which happened this last summer) so I'm officially dead broke for the next 10 months!  Yikes!

HA! My H forgot to download Skype onto his laptop before he left. (His academy laptop is still barely alive.. its now 6 going on 7yrs old).. he cleared off everything he had on it then put windows and office back on. It took him 2 days to d/l skype. We tried to do facebook chat but his internet kept kicking him off. MEGA LAME. Sorry you are having troubles too. :( But it's another thing to be thankful for that many people take for granted.

LoL after their awesome season last year and this one starting off to be equally awesome I am becoming a Pack Fan. I do really like Rogers, and I think it's commendable that he stuck it out with the Packs for so long under Farve.

My H is becoming more interested in my knotting/nesting. He likes to come up behind me and read what I'm typing. He has asked me a couple times how much I talk about him on here. lol

FTL, I love the table set up! I'm going to show my mom it.. she is obessed with yellow and grey. (I can't tell you how many times she asked/suggested I make them my wedding colors). I had to keep telling her Yellow is her favorite color, not mine.

Ya I'm not a die-hard fan or anything, but I am a WI girl, so I gotta root for Da Pack! And I agree, I am glad Rogers stuck it out. Favre is not exactly my favorite person anymore either.

Bahahaha no! My stepmom is still a Favre fan (or at least was for a while). But I pretty much stopped liking him when he wouldn't just retire, and then switched teams.

    Hello Ladies..

I have spent the last few hours addressing STDS, I hate this part of the wedding. Picking and choosing WHO gets a special invite. Why can't I be made of money and invite everyone?  Trying to keep it under 120... ehh...

I love his mom and she is amazing to us, but 3 dogs and 2 cats, and the house closed up for winter? No thanks. I don't want to spend my holiday walking around with boxes of tissues. </div><div>
</div><div>Amanda-I hated addressing the STD's and I didn't even have that many to do. Heck, I didn't even have to write that many out, my best friend did it for me. She wouldn't let me write most out because of my handwriting haha. Once its done though its a big relief.

I know it's been a week, but daylight savings time is seriously kicking my ass.  I finished some laundry and cleaning out kitty litter (the only downside to having kitties..), and was like Oh! I should take a shower and then it'll be time for bed.  Umm.. It's only 6pm!!  shooot. I might have to take a nap before my Sunday night shows come on!!

ETA: I get stupid when I'm sleepy.

LOL at Sami-I think everyone gets a bit goofy when they're sleepy. I know I was ready for bed last night at 6, this getting dark early crap sucks. Except that it means I timed my ceremony perfect to start at sunset. By the way, YGPM!!

C- I use skype all the time with my friends and family too, and it makes me feel so much closer to home.  I get to see my Godson and little cousins, and my friends kids, so I don't feel like I'm missing so much by being far away.  It is crazy to think about how different it used to be 5-10 years ago!

Also, how do you go hunting for other people?  I always see the notes when I log in saying that you went hunting for me, but haven't been able to figure out how to do it for other people!  And thank you!
