[QUOTE]Speaking of wine, where do I find this Red Velvet Cupcake wine? I browsed the shelf at Walmart while my FI was picking out his beer. Do I have to head to Total Wine?

Binx!! For shame! You're making a trip to total wine sound painful, instead of the glorious experience it is!! Haha but yes, I'd suggest it if you didn't find it. I think it's pretty popular.

Red Velvet Cupcake?
As in the BRAND Cupcake? Because we just have that at the grocery store...

Zim, you can only do so much. At some point you just have to shake your head and say "___ needs to grow up. It's not my responsibility". Don't beat yourself up. Relationships (whether family, friend, or Significant Other) take work. From both sides.

Ok right?? I asked this last week but didn't check the answer in the thread...I'm not sure if it TASTES like red velvet or it's a red varietal of the cupcake brand? If it's the former, then I want it. now.

Okay, glad I'm not the only lost and confused person here...
I think it's this:

In which case, you should find it at your local grocery store or specialty wine store... Walmart doesn't always have the largest selections of wine. In fact Haggen, our local grocery store has WAAAAAYY more of a selection than the local walmart..

FTL: Are there any sewing things she needs? Maybe a thoughtful sewing kit of her favorite things? Or you could buy her some fabric or something? Or you could do spa things, cooking things, not really sure.

Zims - Letting go of friendships really does suck, I recently had to swallow the bullet and just let go of a friendship I've had since 2nd grade. Its painful and it sucks but knowing you dont deserve to be treated poorly is important. You were the bigger person and you should be proud of your self a lot of people couldnt do that.

I've never heard of Red Velvet wine before - I didnt care for the choco wine tho. I'd check Total Wine if a liquor store doesnt have it.

amh, the problem with buying her sewing things is that I don't know her well enough to know if she needs anything, has particular materials she likes, is picky about this or that.. etc. So I would rather stay away from it all, since I'm not a sewer myself I have no idea what's good and what's not.
I guess I'll just have to keep an eye on living social for something cool to pop up *fingers crossed*

I found this AWESOME state-shaped wine/cheese board on etsy, but I don't think it would get here in time. arg!

Geez, I went to find a pic to update my siggy and this thread blew up!

Zims- I think you did the best you could, and I'm sorry that it didn't work out. Sometimes people just aren't ready to grow up and move on. But good for you for trying!!!

To answer everybody that was asking about what I do... I actually have really enjoyed the cancer clinic so Irish, I totally get your excitement over it. Right now, I'm leaning towards becoming an ER doctor, but I really like hem/onc too (that's blood diseases and cancer). Argh! It stresses me out so much... I'm almost 25 years old and I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!!! But in better news, I'm totally loving all this wine talk. I think I'll sit back, drink my wine, have some chit chat, and pretend like the biggest decision of my life isn't looming in the way-too-near future. Smile

Zim, I've been there, as have most of us, I'm sure. I had a roommate who wanted to lose 10 pounds, get a new car, get a new job, and get her boyfriend to propose. Meanwhile, I lost 15 pounds, got a car as a graduation gift, got a new job, and FI and I (after only 5 months) had started talking marriage. She flipped, said some pretty unforgiveable things, and the friendship was done. Her BF and FI were great friends, but they don't talk anymore either. Like you, that's what makes me sad the most. Girls can be like that sometimes, sadly. Boujolais Nouveau is pretty good - last year's sucked though. Like notoriously bad.
