Haha FTL I'm sure we can figure it out haha.

I got H a PS3 for his gift. He got me this awesome aquamarine bracelet for my something blue. I picked it out, but we found it by accident. We were at the outlets and walked into the Kay store and I found it. He went back later that week and bought it for me because he knew I was in love with it. It was exactly what I wanted for my something blue.

Ugh, tell me about it. He has some that are engraved already, but "they're 4 years old already" and needs new ones. I like aviators, myself. He thinks they're not manly enough for him ha ha!

FTL-H keeps saying he wants a bigger TV. No, we have a 707 sq ft apartment we are not getting a 60 inch tv, and we are not spending that money crazy.

Off topic: Whenever I see someone facebook talking about how their BF/GF/husband/whatever is OMGF SO AMAZING AND The BEST EVER AND THEY ARE SO LUCKY!!#@#$#@, I tend to look down on them and think they are lying to themselves or are an idiot.

I'm sure they aren't, but my mind goes there.

Ha ha ha! Funny story: FI's cousin and her husband were like that alllll the timmeeee on FB. Really laying it on thick about how much they love each other and blah blah. EVERYDAY. Well, guess who's getting a divorce now?! And, literally out of nowhere, too. So, your theory sticks.

haha cab.. I totally agree with you ggirl.
It bugs the heck out of me. Every now and then is cute. Especially when someone is just really excited about a date with their spouse, or something they have now.. whatevs.
But all the times, and super happy is totally fakey.
I have quite a few people on my facebook like that... Sometimes I think I need to delete people based on their statuses...

The last thing I coo-ed FI over on FB was when he bought me my own toothpaste because he knows how much I hated his toothpaste. It tasted funny. HA ha!

I am friends with a couple that every day posts to each other about how they miss each other.

    1. They live together
    2. They both work nights and have most days together.

How the F can they actually miss each other? I totally don't miss my H when we are both working, because we have the nights together. Really, even when he has duty I don't miss him. That's when I watch girly shoes on TV, hog the remote, take a bath, and all those other things.

    tehehehee...
My statuses are kinda all over the place. I am sure I posted a lot more about H and I back when we were super new and in looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooey
    doeyschmoosywoosybabypookiebearloemuffincupcake.

And we are still like that in private, but I don't feel it necessary anymore.. Although I have my moments when H deploys or when he is gone for extended periods.

ETA: Please note that my " V " key is effed up today.. and it takes a lot of effort to get it to work.. so accept that there will be some v-less posts from me tonight :P haha

When H is deployed, I might say I miss you, and its usually tied to something stupid that I'm commenting on and making a joke. When he gets home, I will usually have a status that says "I get to have a date tonight!".  That's about the extent of it.

Oh geez those lovey dovey posts are the worst, especially the ones I read from my teenage cousins. Ugh.

I think the last time I posted one about H was for his birthday, even then I joke about it and called him my "manchild." We never post mushy stuff really, just funny ones!

I have married friends who will tag each other in their status, and then when one gets to work they comment back "love you babe" and then have a whole freaking exchange about going to the gym and what they're cooking for dinner and....I mean, CANT YOU DO THIS IN PERSON??

*sigh* I totally ate a crazy amount of Halloween candy..
    I suck.
I need the Holidays to be over now so I stop pigging out. It's funny because I stuffed myself full of crap today, but I'm sore from the gym. Cancels out?? :P

What's your favorite thing about November?
    Anyone having TRUE November weather?

We've hit it here in WA. Crazy winds and rain while the mountains start piling with snow in preperation for the ski season. I look forward to learning more how to ski but I miss backpacking season since H's work got in the way of so much of it :(

Today was in the high 70's-80's... so no. But this weekend is supposed to be November weather, which I am looking forward too! Favorite thing about Nov? The fact that it is starting to feel like the fall!

sigh. I'm probably one of the facebook people you guys would hate.

I'm not like that -all- the time, but recently, FI has done a lot of really sweet things for me, and I like to gush about them when he does them! like my 200 flowers yesterday...

otherwise, I tend to only post if I'm excited that I get to see him, or after he leaves to tell him how much I enjoyed our time together.

yeah, people probably judge me, but whatever; I am super happy and I'm not afraid for other people to think whatever they want about my relationship-but I definitely believe it means a lot to build up your SO in front of other people (especially to men I think this means a lot), and when you're LD you don't really get too much chance to do it in person.

    mer.

I am a Grey's Anatomy junkie. I also LOVE bones and NCIS.

ummmm.... FI and I are trying to figure out where to go on our honeymoon!

We're hitting that weather here too! Our first few weeks here were still quite warm, H and I were wearing shorts and flip flops, but for the past week all I've worn are my jeans, boots and sweaters! H hate it but I love fall weather! Now if only the shipping people would hurry so I can get my coats back! They're with our stuff from Japan.

@firemedic: I get where you're coming from, I usually AW too when H does something really nice like surprise me with flowers or surprise dinner dates. I can't help it, what irritates me are the constant ones people do everyday when they can just simply text it to their SOs! Where are you and FI think about going for the HM? I'm already starting to think about our anniversary trip, I think we're doing an AI this time.
  • edited December 2011
firemed I don't think you would bug me too much... It's when they specifically post on each other's pages.. You can do that in a text, in a call, in an email, or in a facebook message.. doing it on the wall on facebook just looks like a territory mark to me.
Or with the little things.. I just don't want to see your status updated 4 times a day because you two did this, you loe him so much, he just got home and now you're eating dinner, times to go to bed with him.
    That's dumb.
I don't need that clogging up my newfeed.
But something like surprise gifts or how he helped you out so much doing this or that... that stuff doesn't bug me :) I tend to get all down and blue when H leaves so I end up posting favorite youtube videos that are undoubtably lovey :P haha

yeah, I have a FB friend who is in the army, dating another guy in the army (who she has never actually met???? weirdddd situation) and they are all "I love you" and "I miss you baby" on each other's walls EVERY DAY

...how do you miss someone you've never met?

kara- we are looking at tons of different options; we're thinking AI would be good, too. Somewhere I thought of that we're looking into is Panama.

Weather related: um... it snowed on 10/2 here. Yeah, first snow of the year. It was ridic. but todayyyyyyyy it was in the 60s.

With FB stuff: I have a friend that her husband is on a trip for 6 days. 6 days... or 144 hours...and she has been whining every single day...counting down the hours. I just want to be like "Hello I haven't even seen my Fi in 144 days. I don't even KNOW the number of hours...over 3000? But I just hit ignore. I also hate the people that COMPLAIN about their significant others on FB. ..W..T..F. If you have to tell the FB world that you are mad at him... you might want to reconsider your relationship.

I hardly post stuff on FB and FI hardly ever gets on FB. I might say something when I go out to visit him  like "I get to see "FI Name"!

FTL - True Nov weather hit today. like.. I went to class in 3/4 shirt and jeans... and it was 70s...It dropped to 30s within 6 hours. WHHAATTT? So cold. So cold.

I don't think that was the point Kendall. I believe she is talking about they met online and have never met in person.

Which I think is weird... straight up weird. You are essentially dating your imagination at that point because you don't know the person. They could be a jerk but you paint them to be this fantastic romantic person.
