Whatcha doin'?

Hi! Where is everyone?

Any special plans this week? It's FIs birthday  week so I am visiting him this week. YAY! I am vowing to not talk wedding at all the whole weekend.

This last weekend I booked my last vendor (hair/make up) and it feels nice to be mostly done planning. But a little overwhelmed about paying for it all...but who isn't? But I am 90% sure I have a buyer for the chair-covers/table cloths after the wedding, and that is $400 I would love to see again.

Congrats on the checks!  And happy birthday to your FI!  My guy's birthday is next week, but I think we're just going to celebrate on the cruise this weekend.

I am currently sitting here all cramp-tastic and just miserably uncomfortable, waiting desperately for the end of the day.  I feel like crapola, but at least this means the period will be done by this weekend, which I was worried about.  I admittedly have been rather crappy about taking my birth control pills, so I'm a) very glad to have my period in the first place and b) off my normal by-the-clock cycle so I was afraid it would either come later this week, or not at all.  I swear to be better about taking my pills!

Oh, and also, my right eye has been twitching for 24 hours now.  I have had that happen a few times before, but it drives me NUTS!

  • I am trying to get all of my school work and filing (work stuff) done because I am heading to Disney this weekend for the Princess 1/2.  I have run out of time for all of the things that I need to get done.  UGH!!!
  • My dog has figured out that there is a sliding glass door in the bedroom (we have a little balcony) that looks over the parking lot, and has designated himself master of all he surveys. I think he thought it was a wall because it's been such crappy weather that I haven't opened the blinds or the door, until a few days ago so that I could put some stuff in the little storage closet out there.  Now he sits there and watches. And barks if he sees anything from people to a plastic bag.

Other than that, I've contacted the church wedding coordinator and music coordinator, so hopefully I'll hear back from them tomorrow.

  • Divine - Haha! My old beagle in our old house you could go "Jerry, Look!" and he would run to the windows (which were almost to the floor) and bark at anything walking by. This is the same dog that learned that during the summer the cool air came from the floor vents and would sprawl out on the vents if he was hot.

  • I have a Beagle and he's so nosy! You can say "who is that?" and he will run out to the sunroom, leap onto the top of his dog box, and look out all the windows while growling at what is normally nothing. 99% of the time it's hilarious, but there is the odd time when he chooses to do this late at night and it gets to be tiresome.

Otherwise, I just got back from the grocery store. What fun.

And I also only have 130 days left until my wedding. Where did all the time go?!

  • Calindi - DH always tells me that twitching eyes means they are tired.  Maybe you need a break.

I had a really productive day.  I got up, worked out, picked my mom up from the car shop, took our German Shepherd to the vet (and I have to AW her because everyone there was complimenting her temperament today), finally got her scheduled for her spay, rearranged and cleaned the apartment, took my mom back to the car shop, and went to the dentist.  <<< I realize that's a lot of AW right there.

Oh and Cal- Itry eating a banana, someone told me that your eye twitches when you need potassium. I don't know how true that is....because it has never helped me.

  • Hey there. I'm being a sick person today...It's all this unpredictable Texas weather and of course going out exploring the hill country this weekend didn't help either. BLAH. At least it's sunny today and I'm getting caught up on HW and such. :) FI's even had the day off today, so he's semi-taking care of me lol

Calindi- It may just be from pre-period stress, try and relax with a heating pad later and see if it helps.

Amanda- happy birthday to your FI! :)

    Hey guys!
Things here have been rather hectic. Work is super busy, as it has been lately so I'm just trying really hard to stay on top of all of it. Other than that, just finishing up last minute wedding things and trying to get our garden in our back yard looking good before our family comes into town. FI might be making an emergency flight back to KY because of his grandmothers health, but other than that things are just busy busy busy.

I probably wont be around much so if not, I hope you guys have a great week! Just wanted to pop on and say hi!

Edit - Happy Birthday to your FI's cali and Amanda.

  • Could definitely be period related somehow, and could definitely be being tired!  It could also be from caffeine, which I normally don't drink but have been recently.  Hopefully a good night's sleep tonight will cure it.  I wish I could take a bath, but our bathtub isn't really any good for that - the drain won't close off, so we have to try to suction it with a tupperware top, and the water never stays warm enough to fill a tub.

AMH, I'll keep your FI's grandma in my thoughts and send healthy vibes her way.  I'm sorry to hear she's declining!

That's exactly what AW means, but usually when we use it, it's not as bitchy - more like saying "show off", so "I'm going to AW" means "I'm going to show off".

I have eaten a ton of bananas the last few days, so apparently it doesn't work for me, either!

  • I had a very lazy day, which was wonderful! Made it to the gym, and grocery store. About to start dinner soon and then enjoy me some Bachelor trash tonight!! And Bethenny Ever After--how can I keep up with so much crappy reality tv!

Thank you, it's just a matter of time to be quite truthful, the hospice nurse seems to think it will be within the week or so -unfortunately with kidney failure there isn't a way to improve without dialysis and quite frankly I don't blame her for not wanting to do that, as sad as it is, I can understand not intervening when your quality of life isn't worth it.

I actually have heard that eye twitching occurs due to stress and when you stare at small things (computer screens, font, reading) for too long, try focusing on something larger for ab 30 seconds before continuing with work or whatever it is. And make sure to do it often, it helps me.

  • Getting yelled at by my boss for things I can't control, my computer decided to install a massive service pack so I couldn't do things I needed to do and my boss was yelling at me for THAT (the fact that I had no computer with which to work is irrelevant to him), and I found out that while I can get married in the Catholic church my deposit on my venue is nonrefundable.  If I had waited ONE MORE DAY to book the damn chapel, I could get married in the Catholic church and save $500 on a venue on top of it.

Shoulda coulda woulda.  Going to hit the gym and run it off.  At least I contracted my first choice photographer today.
  • I'm so glad to have the day off today. Although I have been sneezing non stop all day! I don't feel sick, it's just the sneezing and it's very annoying.

My mom and I have been watching scary movies all day. FI came over for a few hours before work but took a nap in my room so I only got to see him for like 20 minutes. :/

I emailed my possible videographer this morning and I hope that it works out.

I love lazy Mondays when I don't have to work although I'm thinking I should do some laundry.

Also it's my dad's birthday. I told him I would take him out to dinner but that means I have to pay for my little sister too. My other sister doesn't want to go so I can't count on her to contribute and I'm just so broke.  I'm hoping my dad will want to postpone it for the weekend so my sister can help me.

  • Hey everyone! Just got back from having burgers at this place called Slaters 50/50. I am so full right now. They put bacon in EVERYTHING! (Ty, it's in your area, I believe, Anaheim Hills?) Anyway, we drove an hour for burgers. They're THAT good. That's about it. I've been investigating eyeshadow colors for Zims and telling H to stop bugging me for the last hour LOL, he makes fun of me and my blog, and he thought I was blogging. I plan on hitting up Target and Michael's in a bit to make another makeup board.

Yeah I'm right by there. I haven't eaten there though. Have you tried 5 guys? It's REALLY yummy too!

I'm so bored and just don't feel like doing any of the things I have to do. I just wish FI was here and didn't have to go to work. I feel like I don't see him for longer than an hour or 2 a day and I don't get to see him every day.

Tomorrow is his BIRTHDAY! He absolutely hates it and doesn't want to even think about it. (I don't know why he's such a bah humbug about it) His mom had to ask me what kind of cake to bake him since he wouldn't tell her. :/ Oh well. We still get to take him to dinner and give him a few presents which I know he wanted. Just have to get through 9.5 hours of BS before I can head to dinner tomorrow.
