This MOB just took her very last PT test EVERRRR

I realize this is no big deal to anyone but me, but I took my last PT test this morning..forever.  I've been doing them twice a year for 25 years and today was IT!!!!

I'm not a gifted athlete, I'm not one of those people who run like a gazelle or make PT look effortless.  I am the one who makes those people look really good.  I'm a klutz.

I start terminal leave for retirement at the end of April and the next test will be some time in May.  I am off to eat a massive amount of Mexican food for lunch to celebrate.  I hope you all have a wonderful day!

    and I consider myself a bit of a healthnut.. but eff running. That's so exciting that you are DONE with PT!!

    I wish I could go for the margaritas but that will have to wait til tonight.  I guess I should let DH know about that....

    Hmmmm....actually I was thinking he could surprise ME with them when I get home.  He is already retired so I could pull that "honey, I've had a hard day" routine.  However, if I found him wearing something naughty I'd have to bust a gut laughing..

    Congrats! PT tests are terrible. Now in basic you don't even have to pass to graduate. Or at least the guys in FI's unit haven't been.

    Congrats!!  I remember when I took my last PT test not that long ago.  I was glad to get it over with but it was bitter sweet.

    WTG! I remember our last PT test at the Academy (which was harder than regular AD fitness testing), some folks stopped halfway through the run, lit up a cigarrette, smoked it, then finished their run.

    I'm not one of the folks that can do THAT kind of madness, I'd cough all the way to the finish line, LOL.

    But it has gotta be an awesome feeling wrapping the PT test up! Celebrate tonight, you deserve it!

    Not true in the slightest.  You have to past AT LEAST your final PT test, otherwise, you don't graduate.  That's true for the Navy, MC, CG, AF and I'm pretty sure the Army..  People are getting kicked out left and right for not passing PT tests. Kendall how do you know that PT test are terrible?  Have you actually ever done one?  In the military.  Probably not considering you've never been in the military.

    My FBIL just graduated from basic less than a year ago. In his class (or what ever it was called) 9 of the guys did not pass. They graduated. <div>

    Not the same. That would be like a practice PT test.  I'm shocked that they'd let anyone graduate boot without passing a PT test, I would guess that if they continue to not pass, they'll be back in the private sector soon enough though.  I know that in the Navy if you fail 3 in a year, you get kicked out.

    I know now if you have 6 months to pass on your own time after basic. If you don't, you get kicked out. At least in FI's unit. <div>

    I know that with the MC you have to pass in order to graduate from boot, and if you end up on RCP 2 times and still cant pass a pft or cft you end up getting admin sepd. but then again every branch does things differently
