Engagement Photos - Plane

My fiance is in the Air Force, and I thought it'd be awesome to get engagement shots on one of the big planes he works on. Does anybody know how I could possibly get that to work? If not a big plane, like a small plane would be cool too. I have no idea what the military allows. Any help would be awesome please! Thanks!!

Does your AF base have static airplanes? Ours has several mounted to the ground that would be perfect for epics.

So... They only allow certain areas to be photographed. You would also have to get a pass for your photographer to get on base without you, or have her drive on with you guys as a passenger/guest. It would be messy, and it really depends on the plane.
H is a pilot and there was no way we were allowed to take a photographer on the flight line with us, unfortunately, or that would have been super cool.
Have him ask his command if/what they will allow. If they say no, you can find a lot air museum or private airstrip (you know.. like those mini "airports" for just leisure/hobby flying planes like cessnas) to do photos there. I know it wouldn't be the same, but it would at least give the idea.
You could also take picture your base's front gate sign. Our front gate (well.. far enough before the front gate that we wouldn't get yelled at :P ) has two EA-6Bs and a nice "NAS" sign. A lot of bases (especially with planes) have something similar. That might be a neat idea.

I miss those B's. I worked with B's some, but mostly with the 18G's.

They're all getting phased out like crazy now. At whidbey only 2 squadrons have them now.. One Marine squadron and one Navy. Now they're al growlers.. which.. honestly look cooler.. I always think of the snorks whenever I see the Bs.. lol

My engagement pics were done at an aviation museum, since we couldn't bring a photographer on the flight line.

Bahaha FTL, Thats much better than what they call them. I'll never forget checking into my command and my chief screaming about a "Donkey D!ck" being broken or something.  Literally within my first hour there I was like.. Ummmm.. "I'm uncomfortable with that type of language Chief" he said "Get the f*ck over it Bama" so.. I did, but I mean.. growing up we didn't go around screaming about male (Human or Animal) genitalia or cussing.  I was in total shock.  I mean, I got over it eventually, but I was probably one of the only people in my squadron who was never really comfortable cussing.  I mean I throw around some explicates, but hardly ever anything worse than sh!t... and even then sometimes I blush a little bit.

hahaha yeah.. that would make me a little uncomfortable as well.. O.o haha...H's plane doesn't refuel in air so.. they don't hear/use that term often.
Sounds like you got a call sign pretty fast when you got in, Bama! hehehhe

Oh yeah, they called me out before I'd even checked in!  Another girl and I had orders there and we had to call them to let them know we were coming and what to expect and stuff and so we called them together and they put us on speaker phone and they heard my accent and immediately "Bama" was born.
