Grumble grumble....

Raise  your hand if your significant other has Veteran's Day off.

Raise your hand if you're SUPER jealous that they're still asleep while you're getting ready for work.  -________-

JK (sort of!)  He works hard and deserves this day off.  I wish there was a national holiday to honor us business admins!

My H has been off since he went to the ball on Wed night... his days off are pretty few and far between though, so I dont get jealous.  I wish I had the day off, but ehh.. whatevs..

H has been super slacker this week. lol. Well ok that's not fair.. He worked from 0600 Monday- 1200 Tuesday (had to stay overnight at the squadron) then he had Wednesday off to help me with ID card stuff... Then Thursday was makeup PRT so he didn't have to go in.. Now today. haha So he started out with a miserable week and it has turned quite nice for him. I won't complain because I have today off with him. :]

I think it may bother me and then i remember how every morning i wake up at 4:30 when he gets up for pt and i'm happy that he has the day off. haha He also doesnt get saturday or sunday off this week so I don't feel bad about him having off. I also try really hard most of the time to guarantee hat I have off the same days as him since they are few and far-between.

awww prettyirish that's lame for him! :( Sorry that he has no free weekends :(
True that, though! I get up with H every morning (unless he is sleeping past when I need to get up) to make his coffee/breakfast/lunch (he is NOT a morning person, and I"m not a night person, so it's a good balance) and I'm most certainly not complaining that I got to wake up today when I wanted to :P

Yea seriously, boo to no free weekends!

He has an incredibly laid back work schedule at this base.  So it's always weekends off, at least 4 day weekends around holidays.  Huge change from where we were last!  But yea, days off for him aren't few & far between.

I kissed him goodbye this morning & said, "Happy Veteran's Day.  Clean my house!"  And he just sent me a picture of our CLEAN bathroom!  I knew I loved that dude for a reason.

bahahaha That's amazing. And sweet of him to actually do it! A clean bathroom.. I don't think my H would even know where to start as far as cleaning a bathroom goes ;) haha kidding.. but I don't think I would trust him. I am a little anal about how I clean the house. Cleaning and cooking is in my family's genes. We're all neat freaks but we enjoy it so it's ok :)

That's so nice that he has a laid back schedule! We COULD end up at det Dallas next, but I reeeallly don't want to. I doubt we would... I hope we don't... O.o It wouldn't be a laid back schedule if we were there anyway. We're hoping for the east coast next.

I'd make a TERRIBLE housewife.  He does 99.9% of the cooking and we split the cleaning  = /  I envy anyone who likes to be in the kitchen.  I've baked muffins & made stuffed mushrooms from scratch, but that's it.  And neither of those things came out bad, they were actually really good.  I just can't get into it.

I don't really blame you for stearing clear of TX.  And that's coming from someone who wanted to come here.  It’s not a particularly bad place to be, just not all I had hoped it would be.  I’m not exactly sure what I was expecting though.  I wouldn’t mind Whidbey next, but we’ll most likely be at Mugu.  I don’t hate/love either of those options.

    Whidbey is AMAZING.
I'm pretty sick and tired of a bunch of the wives that bitch about it though.. Because a lot of them are used to the south east so they want heat and humidity. We get all 4 seasons. It's wonderful... Plus H and I are HUGE outdoorsy people so we love this place. There is ALWAYS something to do.. and If it's raining, well we have the 2nd most wineries in the US and the 3rd most breweries.. sooo.. yup. :] haha.

I just am not a big southern person. I have no interest in TX.. And the job H would have there would be one that he couldn't tell me ANYTHING about. Apparently it's crazy top secret what he would be doing there, or in Hawaii if we were to go there too. But Hawaii is a deployable squadron and he's suppose to be nondep. next station so we won't end up there unless we ask to go.

FI is on rotation and I was up bright and early to serve coffee, but we gave half off to Active Duty and veterans so it wasn't so bad :) Would love to have a day off together though!

I know right.  I stand in awe of some of the things he does.  I know for sure that I could not do some of what he does daily.

I'm glad he gets a day off. He and his friends have been going around getting food from all the places that are offering free food (getting it to go so he can eat it for lunch)..

I'm a little jealous that the monster was asleep when I tried to call him last night when I finally got home and he was still asleep when I went to work this morning. But Ehhh.. He wakes up at 4:30 every morning (3:30 my time) I can't complain too much.

If anything, I FI is more upset that I don't have the day off than I am.  He definitely deserves it way more than I do so I don't complain.
