Military Brides

Quick introduction!

Hey everyone!
I normally post on the NEY boards, and newbies post intro threads there so I hope that's the same here!

I just want to introduce myself because I'll probably be posting here and there.
I'm a cadet in ROTC so while I'm not active duty yet, I'm definitely interested in /part of  the military life.
I figured I might get some insight from you who are currently married in the military or military yourselves..maybe I'll even be able to help some posters out here!!

I'm not engaged yet, so I didn't post in the intro sticky because, well, I don't have a wedding date yet and my "fi" is still just my "bf" :)

See you around the boards! :p

I'm an AFROTC cadet. I'm thinking about picking up a Joint Military Studies minor where I'd be taking Army ROTC classes too which should be interesting!

Oo Germany..that's awesome! Gutentaag...zucker...kinderwagen...and auf wiedersehen! As you can see I'm quite fluent in German :P

Which branch jrotc/rotc were you in?

I'm hoping to do JAG but if I don't get an educational delay for law school my next picks are Public Affairs or Intel. Really though, as long as I get my commission I'll be okay with whatever job assignment I get.

    I'm glad you're so positive. :)
I did army. In high school I was the captain of the rifle and drill team, which is why I joined in college, only to find out the college didn't have a rifle team.. screw that.. so I dropped. I wasn't planning on going military anyway, so not a huge loss, although I really really miss it. Definitely my best high school memories...
One of the years we went to nationals for rifle @ Ft Benning, GA we got to be coached for a day by the army olympic team! awesome stuff :) I'm a firm supporter of ROTC.
JAG would be sweet, I'm rootin' for you! Ed delays aren't too difficult... I actually know a couple pilots that got a little stuck while waiting to get into primary, so they were sent to NPS (Navil Post Grad School, Monterey Ca) for their masters... haha

Well, aren't you cultured in your German. :P hehehe You could end up in Germany! The big AF base is Ramstein, which is AWESOME... I wish I still lived there... If you ever have the chance (and it doesn't hinder your career of course) I HIGHLY suggest you take the opportunity! It's an incredible experience. :)

firstimersluck, Ramstein is definitely one of my top three. Not only because I know four whole words in German but because it just seems like a great afb and an awesome experience to go there.

I was in honor guard last year and while were were waiting to go on a detail one of the cadets (now an lt) who was on the drill team during his army jrotc days took my rifle and started throwing it up in the air and spinning it around.. it was incredible! You all definitely do some pretty impressive stuff on drill team, I'm sure you know what I mean if you were in nationals. Do you think you could still show off your skills if you were given a rifle? That stuff is really cool.

Thanks for rootin for my ed delay! Just about another year and a half...we'll see how it goes!

oh yes absolutely.. i would be rusty at spinning, but it comes right back..
although rifle nationals in ft benning were for actual SHOOTING ;)

I love your attitude. My H is an officer in the AF and my university had ROTC guys and gals. :) So I kinda know where you are at right now.
