What do I do when I am planning everything by myself and all my family is in another state?

    Only plan what you can handle.  That would be my advice even if your whole family was living next door.  It is nobody's responsibility to plan your wedding but your own, so nobody should rely on other people.

    Are there any bridal shows coming up in your area?  That is a great place to start for ideas.  Look at the local board on here for the area you are getting married and you can get ideas from other brides that way.  Try to find a venue that has their own linens, tables and chairs, and caterer, so that is less for you to try and find.  Planning doesn't have to be hard or stressful.  And honestly you are almost better off not having other people around.  The more people involved, the more conflicting opinions you'll get, which makes it very difficult.
