Re: Something Blue

  • I didn't do blue. I did purple. I'm a rebel. ;) Shoes A bow tied somewhere Blue In your bouquet (oh I had blue in my bouquet! I forgot ha ha)
  • I'm painting my toe-nails blue. I don't think anyone will be able to see them in my shoes, but I love the color I'm doing (it's the most perfect Wedgewood blue) so I'll know it's there. I'll probably have some sort of blue on my underwear, too.

Blue shoes are really popular, as is writing something like "I Do" in blue glitter on the soles (there are Etsy shops that specialize in it). As CAB mentioned, having a little something blue in the bouquet is also popular.

  • I wore a ring on my right hand that was blue. But I did it wrong like cab. I didn't have anything old.

  • I had an aquamarine bracelet that I counted as my something blue.

  • I graduated from an all girls highschool with a 165 year tradition. Our class rings all have a unique blue stone.  We all either wear the ring or pin it inside our skirts or bouquet on our wedding days.

  • My mom and nana made a purse for me out of parts of my mom's, nana's, grandma's, and great grandma's wedding dresses.  The inside of the purse was lined with blue silk, and that was my something old and blue.

I had several blue things since it was also an accent color in our wedding: necklace and earrings were blue topaz stones (H's birthstone), my garters and the embroidery on my handkerchief were aqua, and my toenails were baby blue.

For the longest time, I had my heart set on using this ring as my something blue, but alas, it's $5,000+

I did it wrong, too, though since I didn't have a something borrowed.

  • Man I can't remember....I think my underwear had some blue on it? Oh! I know, also, my shoes were from a bridal line called "Something Bleu" so regardless of the color, they come with a little blue rhinestone on the sole. I thought that was cute.

  • I have the 'I do' on the bottom of my shoe in blue, I purchased a garter on Etsy called 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed and Something Blue' - it has a blue flower on it, and my panties also have blue on them.

    That's really cool!
  • I found an AF Garter online that I would have gotten regardless but it counted as my something blue :)

Had that not been the case I was going to add blue shoe laces to my sneakers or blue ribbon to my flowers.

  • Stupid phone! Anyway my high school also had a traditional ring that everyone gets. I wish there was a tradition of wearing it on your wedding day. The ring is recognizable by anyone that went to school so it's a cool tradition.
