I was MIA this weekend entirely as I was in DC visiting friends and going to a wedding at UVA in Charlottesville.  Both were spectacular, and I had an absolutely glorious time (and I'm munching on Georgetown Cupcakes today that I brought back with me!).

    Well I am jealous that are you eating cupcakes and I am eating a piece of string cheese.  HA

    My weeked was great.  I got some much needed "mom time" with my mom.  We shopped, ate, watched football, baked cookies for H and drink a little. 

    This week I am working really hard on finishing up yet another paper and planning activities for our new international students coming in the spring.

    Good morning! (8:25am for me in CA, so don't judge, I'm not lazy! :))
    I had a wonderful weekend! The bridal shower was so nice. I scored tons of gift cards! We have about $300 in gift cards and money that we decided we are going to spend on a TV for the new room. I think we are gonna hold off until black Friday. We've never shopped on Black Friday, and I think it will be fun!

    *AMH* if you know what is happening at Target for Black Friday, lemme know! I feel like you would be the one to ask! :)

    Anyway, I am here at work, drinking a sugar free Redbull, trying to wake up. OH! I put together my new couch, this weekend, too! It's so nice!

    Good morning!! This week is going to be rough with hw and a project due Thursday but I'll make it work :) I have been going crazy this morning setting up for the crew dinner trying to figure out decor so expect some pictures soon for advice :)

    Good afternoon!

    This weekend was okay; didn't get as much studying done as I had planned (oops) but I got some done and tied up a few loose ends this weekend. 

    This week: My first nursing exam (yikes!!) It's on Tuesday at 1pm EST and I'm definitely going to AW a T&P thread; I'm soo nervous

    Then after that, I will be in Norfolk for training, which I'm excited about, especially because I found out last night that I get my own hotel room at one of the nicer hotels in the area (in the past I've always had to share a room, so yay!) FI is coming up since he's off Vet day and he's staying with a good friend of his who PCS'ed to Norfolk so we're going to do something with him and his wife :)

    So, a fun week once I can get through the stress that is tomorrow!

    o0o firsty, cant wait to see pics!

    We didn't have any coffee in the house this morning so I'm hurting. Just had to sit through a presentation on the genomics of glioma tumors in dogs, which was interesting but not stimulating enough to keep me awake.

    Cal, where did you end up going to happy hour in DC?

    Sort of random weekend. Went on a double date Saturday night with one of FI's friends and his girlfriend who had driven down from Michigan to see him. They're both nice, if a little bit "I live my whole life on the internet" (not that I really get to talk about that :) ). Did see the new Harold and Kumar movie and laughed more than I thought I would, it's really silly, but once you completely suspend all disbelief or taste level, it's pretty funny.

    My car is still broken (thanks FI for leaving your GPS plugged in when my car doesn't have an automatic shut off for the electrical), so we have to go get a new battery and put it in.

    Also, has anyone watche dthe show Monsters In Law on A&E? I caught a marathon of it yesterday and it's just really sad. And also, it seems like a lot of the problems come from people who just won't stand up to their parents.

    Oh FTL you crack me up!

    Let's see, Friday we went out to get FI fitted for his tux and I got to stop by Sephora and pick up my free birthday gift-it smells so yummy! Then we spent the evening trying to make Creme Brulee. FYI, double the vanilla the recipe calls for. Round 2 will be this week, I'll report in & post pics.
    Saturday was a trip to Pensacola to find DS a kid's tux with NO luck. However, I did find earrings that I LOVE for $10 on sale. They match my dress perfect.
    Sunday we tried out a new church and the pastor kept talking about awesome ribs he had made the week prior. So much that by the time we left, we went straight to the store and bught some. Dinner was delicious!.
    This week is my long week at work but I'm hoping there will at least be some decent down time. I really need to finish addressing invitations.

    FTL- would love to see some pics. 

    As far as football for me this weekend I was 2-2 .  YAY for Iowa and UGA (even though they didn't play anyone.  Shhh, don't tell H) :) USC and Bama on the other hand not so great.

    Google Brads Black Friday List 2011. He posts all of the ads weeks prior to black friday. Target will be opening at 12:01 am on Friday.
    I love black friday, and I've gone every year since I was 15! :) Love it!
    For those with base privilages - Don't forget the Exchange will price match with a circular (ad) AND the NEX will price match AAFES/MCX and AAFES/MCX will price match the NEX.

    CAB glad the shower went well. Sounds like you got some awesome stuff! We ordered the last of the BM dresses! Extremely excited that is done. Hung out with my MOH who lives in DC. I think we decided we are running the DC Rock n Roll Half Marathon in March. (Anyone care to join?) I start my last class of my Bachelors degree today. It is only a four week class (technically 5 because of Thanksgiving) so I am praying it goes by quickly. Then I will be done and I can actually focus on wedding stuff.

    Good Afternoon!! I've been busy with work this morning.
    This weekend for me was okay in general. Did a little shopping yesterday, cooked some soup. Saturday was grocery day (aka coupon day) in our house. Jade also had a successful puppy play date which was really nice!
    This week - more cisco tests, work, and thats really it. I think we are going to do a Thanksgiving meal the week prior to thanksgiving here for friends. We'll see. I think it'd be fun, but I'm not sure if Erik has anything planned since its the weekend before my birthday. But we'll see. Oh! We finally have E pictures on the 13th! Super excited! Just a quiet week here. I hope.

    I found out a good friend of mine is getting divorced last night. It actually hit me really hard. They were always so happy, just welcomed a beautiful little girl in September. (Her hubby was deployed with Erik) So.. it actually kind of really scared me. Esp since FI and I got into a spiff last night. All is well now.. but yeah. enough rambling and back to work for me!

    Absolutely not! But make sure you train on hills! There is a pretty long steady climb about halfway into it. I might be spectating though, so I might see you! :)

    Ha! Party pooper! :( Thanks for the heads up though! I will definitely keep that in mind. I barely trained for the Disney one in Feb last year. I hope to be more prepared for this one! I haven't officially registered yet so we'll see if I can work up the courage to do that first ;)

    Hello Friends!!

    Saturday was Obviously NOT a good day for me. Then last night because I'm such a huge procrastinator, I ended up staying up until after 3 making and formatting my cheat sheet, but my test went pretty well.  Of course then, I finished early and took a phone call from my mom.. Big mistake.. T & P's needed for real.  So much Family Drama.

    I have a staff meeting tonight that I'm not really feeling.. I don't mind my co-workers, but our staff meetings last for hours.  HOURS. Really? Ugh..

    Bleh... I'm gonna go bake something..

    Haha! I know, I don't run anymore--chronic foot issues. But I love watching road races!! DC is just hilly in general--not like San Fran hilly, but enough that you'd want to be prepared.

    Sorry guys, busy day at work!  The new girl started today (she's awesome, I have a total girl crush on her and hope we can be friends) so I've been trying to train her and untrain some of the things my boss is already trying to teach her that are totally wrong (the senior partner was supposed to fly in today to let him go, but it got pushed back until Wednesday, so fingers crossed this all ends soon!  It's super awkward in the meantime!)

    Irish - we went to RFD in Chinatown.  It was perfect!  And my sweet sweet friends bought me my drinks all night - I never paid a penny!  It was really great catching up with everyone.

    Stan - I'm still not talking to you today.  We can be friends again tomorrow Tongue out  In all honesty, I didn't get to watch the game as I was in transit, but I heard my Mom complaining and whining on the phone.  Sounds like the Pats defence was in one of their "we're going to play like a bunch of amateurs" mode that they sometimes get into during regular season.

    Spiffy - I sort of un-officially ran the Providence Rock 'n Roll Half this summer (wasn't registered, but jumped the rope and ran with a friend for about 8 miles) and it was awesome!  Even in the pouring rain we had a lot of fun.  I'll definitely consider the DC one!!!

    Exactly.  I don't particularly care about your kids, or your back pain.. (I'm by far the youngest person at Curves...Member or Employee.. the next employee who's close to my age is 36..) I just don't see the point in sitting there and chit chatting or anything.. Grrr..

    That would be amazing.  From what I've read they look like a good time.  I just read that if you sign up on Veteran's day from 11am-11pm it's only 75 bucks.  Or else you'll pay 90 bucks afterwards.  So I am definitely taking that advantage.  It's on March 17, so if you're up for it that soon after the Princess one, you should definitely do it!  If not, I completely understand.
