Hi Mel! 

We are heading off to Jersey tomorrow when H gets home from work. We'll be spending it with my sister and her family and friends up there. We have to be back by Friday though because H will have duty again on Saturday so we won't be there long which sucks but at least we get to go, just found out a couple days ago that he actually get Friday off! It's his first Thanksgiving in 5 years so we're really trying to make it special. 

How about you? Congrats to your sister btw, the pictures you posted were beautiful!

Hey! I'm laying in bed right now. Just did some baking but my stomach hurts because I ate too much I'm watching the finale of Dancing with the Stars. I've never watched this show but I really want JR Martinez to win. His story is incredible and it'd mean so much more for him to win than anyone else

Jersey sounds fun. I'm glad you get to see your family! Is this your sister with the adorable daughter you were posting pics of before? I'm not really sure what my Turkey Day plans are... I guess I'll just tag along with whatever my parents decide to do, since FI doesn't get to come home. Oh, and thanks about the pics! I'm so happy for my sis, and her wedding was so pretty and so much fun. I'm just glad it's over now... all the stress around it made me just want to elope!

Are you joining in the Black Friday craziness? I just can't bring myself to do it... there's just nothing I want that badly, and some of those people intimidate me.

I'm sitting here watching The Biggest Loser.  Which always makes me feel like the workout I did earlier today wasn't enough and that I need a personal trainer.

I guess it's better than a few months ago when I would watch it while eating oreos.

Since Mel brought up Black Friday, I figured out what kind of weirds me out about it. It's that I actually really enjoy Christmas shopping. I love going to local shops and the mall and browsing and getting on the internet (especially Etsy, my Xmas headquarters) and putting together gifts. I genuinely enjoy the crowds and getting hot chocolate and looking at lights and decor. I don't really get all of this, "I've had my Christmas shopping done since October" business. I don't think I ever will, although I guess it may change when/if I have kids.

I'm getting my Thanksgiving cooking started tonight (using Cal's cranberry jelly recipe), so we'll see how that goes. Also, the Commissary 2 days before Thanksgiving=complete Bedlam.

Mel: I am definitely going shopping this Black Friday, it's one of my favorite times of the year! My sister and I are planning on hitting up the outlets on Thursday night, then we'll head to the mall the morning of Friday. It sucks because H and I have to leave around lunch time since it's a 6hr drive for us and he has duty Saturday so we need to get back by Friday night which takes time away from me shopping! lol Our goal is to get some Christmas shopping done though. Although I will see if I can get away with a thing or 2 for me!  

That's too bad your FI can't come home. When will you see him again? And yep, this sister of mine is the one who brought that precious angel into this world! lol That's one of the big things I'm excited for, seeing my niece again. She's just too darn cute. Here's another AW:

FI has to bring potatoes, corn, and cranberries to his aunt's house on thanksgiving.  He thinks he'll just pick it up that morning.  HA.

DMB: I haven't been to the Commissary yet this week nor do I think I will make a trip. Regular weekends there are already so crazy, I can only imagine how this week is like!

Hi Kara- I've been busy with my classes and student teaching. I'm doing good. How are you?

Dani: You must share the pictures! Like right now! I am doing well. Today I went to the DMV to get  a VA license, I didn't have to since I'm an AD spouse but I hadn't change my name on my old license yet. I have to wait to get the new one in the mail so for now I am stuck with a paper license! I haven't been busy a whole lot lately, just been doing a lot of running around, errands here and there mostly. 

Katelyn: What did you bake? 

Spiffy:  Thanks! There's nothing interesting on TV on for me right now, so I'm on TK instead. I am waiting around for the new Storage Wars episodes at 10 though! 

Mel: Thanks! She really is just so adorable and it makes me soo happy! I just want to steal her sometimes but her dad won't let me! haha Oh and I'm actually making my list right now for presents to buy on Friday!

It's twenty to 9 and I am beat... I'm working on making an ugly sweater even more ugly for H's Squad Xmas Party. The front side is drying/setting and I'll be working on the back tomorrow plus adding the battery powered lights. I'm taking it pretty serious and I dunno why (probably because I want them to know I'm invested even though H is gone).

I did hit the jackpot at Old Navy today. Bought a ton of non-ugly sweaters for the holidays/winter.

That's all I got. Just waiting for bed time!

Kara- That sucks about the license!  My license expires about two weeks before I get married.  Plus I'll be moving in with FI, so my address will be changing.  I wish I had the guts to drive with an expired license for two weeks.  I don't want to pay to get a new one. haha.  AND they moved the DMV from right down the road to all the way across town.

Dani- So cute!

I made pumpkin chocolate chip cookies the other day. I brought them to  the school where i student teach- I had three teachers tell me that they were the best cookies they had.

Shan: I want to see this sweater you are working on, it's got lights?! Also, did you know that military get a discount at ON? I think it's like 10-20%! Hope you have a good sleep since you seem so tired.

Dani: Those pictures are great! I think they're sweet.. Are you using these as e-pics?

Spiffy: Haha you are funny. That's just too bad with that timing! I would probably wait on changing mine just so I won't have to pay again right away. I did wait 8 1/2 months before getting mine done! The DMV is actually right next door to us, how convenient and it only took me an hour today to get everything done, even update my voter registration. I have never been to a DMV that didn't take at least 2-3 hours!

Shan - are you at least having fun making the sweater uglier? The thought of battery-powered lights on there made me giggle. And your OId Navy talk made me want to go shopping. Sounds like you hit the jackpot!

Kara - I know exactly what you mean. I feel the same way about my sister's puppy sometimes. I probably really would steal him, except my sister would kill me for him. Max is her furbaby.

Kara- Our DMV always takes hours, that's why I'm dreading it.  I'm glad yours didn't though!  I'm hoping since they've moved to a bigger place it won't be as crazy.

Mel: lol. Sometimes I do think about getting a furbaby to keep me company, but then I think more about it and I only want one to play with, not exactly take care of for now, just like with babies. I wish I can have them for just a few hours of the day! Also, we don't really have room for a pet here anyway which sucks and it'll make our rent higher too. 

Dani: Nothing much really. I had a great weekend with H, we did some fun stuff. My head has been mostly wrapped around the holidays.l can't stop thinking about presents and Christmas! How about you? How's wedding planning?

Spiffy: I know. That's what I've always been used to, so this was nice not having to wait for so long there. Does the DMV there take appointments? I know some DMVs do like back in Nevada.

Hi ladies!!!! I had a lovely day with my puppy - the electricity went out in my building around noon, so I couldn't do anything the rest of the afternoon.  I took her to the dog park and bought her some more toys.  She was super happy, and I was really relaxed.  I haven't felt this relaxed and happy in a very long time - she's like a dose of Valium!

DMB - hope it turns out well!  I'm super excited for FI to make more cranberry sauce - yummy!  I have all my recipes pinned on Pinterest, and can't wait to start baking tomorrow afternoon!!!
