AW, Yay!

Since so many of you showed concern and sent me your T&Ps I figured the least I could do was give you an update. I was able to Skype with H today and all is well. He is alive, it appears he is finding it hard to adjust to the time change with his varying schedule. But that's about it! The internet is inconsistent but I was able to see him on video for a couple mins which was AWESOME. Even with spotty internet Skype rocks.

I'm still thinking of all the other ladies with H/FI deployed! Our spouse group on base is making holiday cards this week for the troops, I love making cards so if you would like me to send you some to send to your guys please let me know!

Take Care, Happy Sat!!

Yay I'm so glad you were able to Skype!  The few times we ever do get to Skype during deployments we have always have spotty internet and it goes in and out, but it's always better than nothing!

I hope you're still doing okay.  I haven't been around much since my family was here, but you can text or email me whenever!  Another few weeks and I'll be right there with you.

And if you need to laugh at all, just watch this:

haha I love it! It did make laugh again!

For everyone else, After I dropped my H on base for his deployment. I was on my way home when this song came on the radio and all I could think of was.. "Who says you can't go home?" "eh the Military does it all the time." The irony made me chuckle out loud and I texted it to Beach who laughed as well. It's just one of the many things people outside the Military don't really understand.

<div>That's too funny and yes it's so true! I'll be there with the deployment in a few months too ladies, we found out the new ship's schedule for the next couple of years and H will be gone for most of next year. Another year, another deployment. If all goes according to our plans though, this should be our last deployment EVER, but we'll see since the military like to change things around so quickly! </div><div>
</div><div>Beach: I've missed you on the interwebs but I'm glad to hear you had an awesome time with your family! </div>

Thanks Kara!  Yeah we had a great time with them here.  I think I gained about 5 pounds, but it was well worth it!

That stinks that you got the deployment coming up soon since you just got there.  But it is definitely nice to think about it possible being the last one!  Our year and a half has been hellish, but we just keep focusing on the 5 and a half years after that we should be deployment free!

Yay Shan! Glad to hear everything is well with H. Skype is probably one of the best things ever created! Kara- I've been preparing for their deployment since we officially found out late winter/early spring. Do you know how I initially found out? It was on their ship's wikipedia page! It's not on there anymore, but I don't know how someone let that slip. It will be FI's last deployment too.

Beach: I always gain weight when I'm around family, so I understand! lol. Everytime I think about this upcoming deployment and how I'll have to go through it completely alone this time in a new place, I think of you and how you went through it this past year. I say to myself, Beach was able to do it, I'm sure I should be also! ;) That's the comforting thing with this upcoming underway, knowing that it should be our last because after 2 years here we should be off to shore duty! I can't wait for you to get here so we can have our GTG already!

Binx: That's too bad, I hate it when people let the ships' schedule slip out, even on FB pages and such. You found out that while back about it? The CO actually came in and discussed it with them, although I think there might have been some changes to it, especially due to what's been going on lately. And YAY for your FI's last deployment too!

Beach!! I've missed you!!!! So glad you had fun with your family!!

Shan, I'm so happy that you got to see your H (even if it's for a few minutes with bad connection, it's totally worth it!!) Hang in there!!

Kara-Is your H getting out?  That sucks that he'll be gone most of next year, but if it's his last deployment ever, then Yay!!!

Sami: Thanks! Yes he's eventually getting out, but won't be for another 5 years though but I am happy that this should be our last deployment ever since we should be going to a shore command after this. He loves his job and the people he's been with and to serve the country is a great thing, but honestly in his line of work, they make much more money in the civilian world than in the service.

Shan, very glad to hear everything's okay and that you got a little time face-to-face on Skype!  Sending good vibes that all of you with SO's deployed or soon to be deployed have a very quick and easy time apart and a safe return!
