Dreams

Do you dream? How often? Is it vivid or hazy?

I've always had very vivid dreams. And this morning I had one of those horrifyingly realistic ones that Brian was killed in a car accident and I had to tell everyone. I even remember thinking that I would have to come back to NEY and tell everyone too (haha, I can laugh at it now). I was sort of hyperventilating this morning. Actually, I woke up because I was hyperventilating. Fortunately FI is a doll and has called me a few times today.

I dream a few times every night and I can usually remember every little detail.
Most of my dreams are kind of traumatizing and I wake up pretty often very distressed.

I dream only if something I watch or see or feel something that can set a dream off usually. Ie: scary shows/movies, or feeling like i'm going to be late, I tend to dream about ending up naked in a public place. Odd.

Kat - those dreams are the worst!! I had one about Dan leaving me b/c he was mad about something but he wouldn't tell me...and I woke up CRYING.  This was like 3 nights ago.  I HATE those dreams.

I have always had very vivid dreams.  Even when I was a kid.  I still remember 2 reoccuring nightmares that (mom said) I had from age 4-8 or so.

I have some pretty vivid ones. I've still got the two from last night bouncing around in my head, as well as one from a few days go.

I really hate the dreams where there's someone (celebrity or a friend) behaving as my BF in place of him. Lately it's been TJ Thyne (Hodgins from Bones) bouncing around my brain...BF needs to come home like, now.

I also had a dream that I was giving my research talk about coffee instead of my actual research. Weirdsauce.

I have incredibly vivid dreams. When I was in college and grad school (and stressed to the max) I used to have dreams that my dad, sister, bf (now FI) and friends would die. They were graphic and horrible. I even had a dream that I killed myself. The weird thing is that I never had a dream that my mom died. I haven't had a dream like that in a while now but I do have crazy dreams often. Actually, recently I've been having dreams that I cheat on my FI with completely random guys and I wake up crying. It's awful and I have to remind myself that they are only dreams.

I go back and forth. I'll have a lot of really vivid, totally off the wall dreams for a week. Then nothing for a month, then two weeks. The best dream ever is my mother's. She always needed underwear right around Christmas time, and where I grew up we had outlet malls, which if you were local, you did not go to around Christmas. So she has a dream that she's decked out in camo and is crawling through the bushes to get to the underwear store. It's hilarous.

I dream fairly often but they are usually really strange. I don't tend to have very vivid action filled dreams. My dreams are usually all over the place and don't overall make much sense.

Ah yes, I always have very vivid dreams and about 90% of them are bad dreams.  Usually me being chased and killed or something terrible happening to FI.  Also, ever since I was a child, every time I have a high fever I have the exact same reoccuring dream..... soooo strange!

I also have those dreams where I can't wake up... It's like I'm trying and trying to wake myself up and I just can't.. Now that freaks me out.

Mine are always vivid and i hate that sometimes. Many of my dreams are violent , sometimes flashbacks from times i have been physically abused or hurt and i thrash around and talk alot in my sleep FI tells me. i have dreams and nightmares about work , the wedding , my past , my ex's , ,my late mom , you name it. i envy my FI because he never remembers his..i wish i was so lucky , rarely do i wake up feel refreshed because of it all.

I have really vivid dreams, the most common motif being trying to get my parents to behave rationally.  Like, we're all going to die if we don't get into the bunker but my dad wants ice cream first and my mom's wandered off after a butterfly... In real life I have had to go find my dad after he wandered off and he was buying an ice cream cone for himself, so those dreams are pretty well grounded in my reality.  I dread to think what it'll be like when they get old!

I also have night terrors (PTSD related, I guess) where I don't remember dreaming anything but I wake up to FI covered in bruises and the cat cowering in his box.  I kick, punch, scream, but thankfully haven't gone on angry sleepwalking adventures in many years.
