It's snowing :(

It snowed on...Tuesday, for about 30 seconds, but today it's snowed repeatedly. None of it is sticking, but ugh, I HATE SNOW!!! Guess it's time for the snow tires this weekend...(stupid Southern Ontario). Now all of you from warm places feel free to gloat. I'm jealous, I'll just say that to get it out of the way.

I live in a warm place and I'm thoroughly jealous. I cannot tell you what I would give to be able to wear a freaking sweater.

Arg! No fun! Thankfully we have yet to get our first snow (Chicago) but I am def. NOT looking forward to it. Slushy streets, snow in your socks, digging out your car with a shovel or your hands when you forget your shovel in your car. Waiting for your defroster to get all of the annoying ice off of your windows when you are finally done with the snow scraping. ahhhh lovely! All the more reason to plan a vaca to somewhere nice and toasty!

i grew up in Florida for 23 years then in 2002 moved to Detroit , MI where it snowed every winter and i loved it , for awhile. I moved from MI to WA state in 2007 and i thought i knew what snow was in MI , hah! It would start to snow in Pullman , WA ( eastern WA) about October and not stop until late May and when it snowed it snowed a foot or so at a time. I just moved out to Dublin ,CA in the east bay in September and while i will miss looking at the snow and feeling like the holidays , i wont miss shoveling , driving in , or walking in snow ever again. Ive had my fill. Hope it isnt too bad for you :)

Oceana - A sweater?! Psh, I've been wearing sweaters all year around; we had a terribly cold summer! I'm into boots, full-blown winter coats, mitts, and scarves already! Amber - I am dying for a vacation! But, given my school/work schedule, and BF's school/work schedule, we're not going to be able to get away to anywhere warm until Spring 2011. Boo! We're hoping to get a week off in the summer this year at least though...but, that's a looong time, and a lot of freezing cold weather away.

karann - You just described everything I hate about winter, and then some! taft - You are one of those people I am jealous of. At least you've experienced winter though. Ontario winters vary a lot...sometimes we get barely any snow, and sometimes we get so much we run out of places to put it.

I'm from Michigan originally, so not too far from you, Anne. I completely sympathize. It's not so bad in November, but by February, you're sooo sick of it. Not having to deal with icy roads and shoveling my car free in the morning is a major reason I prefer living in the desert. I won't torment you by telling you about the weather here today. :)

It snowed here!  Once...in like 1989.  I was 8.  I made a snowman that was about a foot tall before it all melted away.Since then it's been freakishly warm.  I usually wear a t-shirt on Christmas day.Although we've had some cold snaps recently.  I've actually already had to break out one of my light-duty winter coats for the mornings.

I live in South Florida, so it's been in the 90s up until about two days ago. It's just now getting so you can walk outside and to your car without being soaking wet with sweat once you get there. I'm from Ohio, so I miss winter. But I miss fall WAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY more :(

I am not gloating but it is 88 here today in Phoenix...while I don't miss the snow (originally from CT) I am with Oceana in the fact that I would LOVE the opportunity to wear a sweater! Something about wearing a tee-shirt and flip flops doesn’t seem right around Thanksgiving time…

Phoenix is having record highs. I think yesterday was in the 90's. I'd like to say "suck it!" but I hate snow too. So pity.

I wish that winter weather was like movie winter weather, example, White Christmas. Everything looks pretty and appealing, but the reality, not so much. Maybe this year everything will change and be perfect, right?!

LUCKY. We had nice "cool" weather for awhile (it was about 80-85), but not it's kind of hot again. :( I want the nice weather back.

Wow, we have a lot of AZ girls on the board! I'm with the ladies who'd like to be wearing sweaters at Thanksgiving. :) And we don't have too many trees here that change color, and I miss that. Fall is my favorite season! But I'll still take the heat and sun over months of snow and gray skies ANY day!
