My wedding will be tacky cause...

BMs aren't wearing matching dresses
I refuse to rent a dance floor so I'm providing flip flops for guests to dance in the grass or on the sand
No open bar just wine and beer ( I was told that if I was just serving wine to estimate a bottle and a half per guest YIKES!)
Not serving cake, we're doing creme brulee, I'm looking forward to cracking that sucka with FI.

We're having two seperate receptions, a small one at the church with just cake and refreshments and a bigger one at home with alcohol, dancing, ect.

Whoa! We're having about 3 bottles per table (of 8)! If people need more booze, they're welcome to buy it.

And I would totally wear flip-flops to your wedding. The only Hawaiian DW I've been do, I wore nice flip-flops with a traditional Hawaiian dress.

things i plan to do at the owls' not planned yet wedding:
no veil
no matchy bridesmaids
station food that is yummy and not stuffy (italian, american and mexican stations)
walk down the aisle with mr.owl or alone
have a gap (catholic churches are NOT flexible on timing and neither are any of the venues near us according to what i've heard) --- i hate this one and will try to fix it
will DIY almost everything
will have a late night snack of a hot dog/ice cream cart - i love food carts!

-We will not be hosting any alcohol except a champagne toast.

-There will be no dancing besides the father/daughter dance, mother/son dance and our first dance. This is mostly due to the fact that we are having our dinner reception in the private dinning room of a restaurant so there will be no room.

- Since we can only have 30 people due to space we have an "A" list (just family) and a "B" list for our guests. If any of our family can not make it we will invite our friends with a different response card.

- I told my BMs to pick out any floor length, black dress that they want.

- I will be having a home town reception for those who could not make it/ were not invited to the wedding in LA.

My semi-planned, non-engaged wedding might be considered tacky because:
BF wants to wear jeans at the reception. I vote all groomsmen do so as well for continuity.
I WILL be wearing converse during the reception. Buying pairs for the BMs too.
There will be a LOT of kids there (I direct a Children's choir...)
There WILL be at least 1 Jimmy Buffet song for BFs parents.
I think I'll wear pink shoes for the ceremony.
I may choose to sing at the reception.
There WILL be a slideshow.
I want a picknick reception, so I want sack races or three legged races too...with prizes...ya know, for the kids.

I am now also considering s'mores and sliders.

Off topic: Currently watching LEGO save the date vid. Seen it before...LOVE! BF loves legos too...

- I'm not hand addressing anything

- We are doing a cap consumption bar, so we'll be hosting everything till a certain dollar limit, then it will switch to cash (it shouldn't need to, but you never know and I'd much rather people who want to keep drinking be able to buy something than to randomly shut down the bar)

- I'm doing the dreaded HM registry.  I don't care what the knottie police have to say about it, I've loved this idea since FI's best man did one at his wedding and several of our family members and friends have suggested this to us as well.

- My BM's aren't wearing "bridesmaid" dresses.  They will be wearing a $50 dress from JC Penny which looks exactly like a BM dress, but isn't marked up 200% because it's associated with a wedding.

- We're doing our own flowers, and our friends are setting them up for us prior to the ceremony
- My bouquet is nearly identical to my BP bouquets
- FI is seeing me in - gasp! - full wedding attire before the ceremony
- We've got the Broncos, Browns and Ohio State in our vows
- We're walking into our reception to Dropkick Murphys
- We're having a bouquet and garter toss
- We're having Mad Lib cards at the reception</p><p>- We printed every single address label off our home printer</p><p>- We printed every single paper item for our wedding and put it together ourselves
- I invited a bunch of internet buddies to crash it at the last minute
- We're offering child as an entree</p>

* I'm 5 LBS AWAY from my wedding goal weight. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrg...

* We have all our major projects done, save for our programs. We've got about 15-20 more to go (our corner rounder up and busted, so I've got to replace it tonight).

* We're in the process of spring cleaning our house for impending visitors, which is far more intimidating than the wedding itself.

* My FI's gift has been lost in the mail for OVER A MONTH, I've been battling it out with the company for about three weeks, and I FINALLY got it resolved with the company (by effectively bitching out the poor lady who answered my customer service call). His shark cufflinks should be here (fingers crossed) by the weekend.

* My makeup person up and cancelled on us, so I'm going for a trial with a new guy on Saturday. If that falls through, I'm just doing my own makeup.

* All dresses and shoes for the BP have been finalized.

* We've found out that a bunch more people than we had originally planned on are coming to our post-wedding beach bash the day after, so that should be awesome.

* I have formally reserved at least one dance with Mr. Man at the reception.

* My ex is bringing me a rosary from Paris to carry at the ceremony. It makes my coldbitch heart all warm and mushy inside. :)

* We may have a NEY crasher. ::fingers crossed::

* My bachelorette party was Saturday, and I *may* have drunk dialed Mutley and Jeanette... </p>
<p>I think that's all the latest developments...lol</p>

My wedding was tacky because:

1) It was humid,so it was literally tacky

2) I didn't have assigned seating

3) We didn't serve enough meat

4) The band played "pour some sugar on me"

5) We had a garter toss

6) I fed myself cake

7) I was hot so I would flap my dress at people to get air up there

8) I deck changed in the dressing room b\c I forgot to wear underwear

9) We only served beer and wine, and ran out

10) H and I high fived at the end of the night

PS- I'm hoping to make Oceana's wedding tacky.
