NEY - memorable posters

a combo of Paige's "awards" thread and the drama in the "am I the only one?" thread led me to this...

name some of the most memorable posters from this past year.  and by memorable, i mean "special snowflake" posters.  they can be from here or another board, but make sure you provide a back-story.  links to threads get you bonus points.

i'll start.

does anyone remember danielle?

There was one poster where this 17 year old who was afraid to tell her parents she was engaged. And then her "boyfriend" came on to defend her. Yeah, she was thuper speshul.

I am too lazy to dredge up that post, though.

Then there was the troll "greenturtlelove," or was it "greenturtledove"? She said she was 17 or 18 and her BF had proposed in a Red Lobster. Her BF's family didn't approve. Her dad took her to Kleinfeld "on a whim" and with a budget of $10K, and she supposedly bought a crazy Pnina dress. She was entertaining.

Yep. I remember her saying she was a reg, but don't remember who it was.

Coffee--AE = alter ego. It's when someone who posts on TK creates an alternate account no one will recognize, and posts under that. Sometimes for good, sometimes for evil. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-wink.gif" border="0" alt="Wink" title="Wink" />

AE is like an alternate identity, for those who don't want to post certain topics under their own name.

Green Turtle Love was one, so was Joiner, thank you Cate for bringing that one to my attention.

Joiner was an AE? I kind of wish she was real.

JacksPBjelly made me want to stab things repeatedly.

Wasn't she the one in Utah that was wondering about a San Fran vs. Utah wedding and they weren't engaged? And then thought he was learning guitar to play her their fave song and propose? Or am I thinking of someone else?

That was her.  She didn't bother me that much, but that might just be because I liked that her username was a Fight Club reference.

I thought Danie was a sweetie. Her situation wasn't terribly different from Dwest's. I think Dwest had the benefit of more maturity and a better education, but they were both nice people, IMHO.

I kinda liked Dwest. I lurked and think they broke off their engagement right?

I missed Danie but read some of her stuff. Just thinking of the math - she broke up with baby daddy and was engaged to another dude by the time her baby was - what - 7 months old? Wow. That's speedy.
  • edited December 2011
I actually liked Danielle a lot - she just had a weird way of coming off that irked me. I miss Dwest - I don't know what happened to her after they decided to work things out. She didn't come back. :(
