    I know I post too much of the bad and I really need to work on posting the good.  He is doing some of the laundry now. He said that he is going to get the apartment back in order during his forced vacation from work (this I am not happy about but not much he can do about it). I am not so much sad that I will not get a ring anytime soon because I know that he and I really do need to made sure things are better before even thinking about that.

    I do plan on a discussion once he has a few days off. Part of the stuff I need to talk to him about is leaving work at work. We will see what is ahead once this stuff is off the shoulders.

    I'm terrible about asking for stuff, but here goes.
    1. new matching floor lamps- I know I got these
    2. Carpet steamer- IDK, my dad wants me to just call stanley steamer
    3. Kitchen storage of ANY kind!- who knows?

    SO asked for a new TV for his arrival day/christmas, so we already have that.

    **arrival day is the day his parents "got him", SO was adopted.

    An engagement ring (which is not gonna happen for a while;
    A condo;
    A digital camera;
    The list could go on....
    I think I am asking too much since I already bought a brand new car for Christmas.

    I did the coupon thing for FI last Christmas and throughout the year he'd say "I'm using such and such coupon now"  He still has the coupon book in his bedside drawer.

    This year, with me out of work and bills piling up and wanting/needing to buy Christmas gifts for our families as well as wedding party gifts, we decided no "gifts".  We decided instead that we would have a couple date nights in December and use a Starbucks gift card that a neighbor gave us for helping him out with something.  Our 1st date night was a couple weeks ago, we went to see a free light display at Ethel M's chocolate factory, then got some coffee on the way home.  We were supposed to have our 2nd date night last night, but he got called into work last minute, so we'll save that for another night.  We also decided that we could spend $1 each and get something for each other to open on Christmas morning.  It was fun trying to come up with something for only $1.  FI loves video games, so I found a little hand-held game at walmart for just a buck - it's kind of cheesy, but I know he'll love it.

    My bridal shower is on Jan 15 and the wedding is on March 5, so anything we would have asked for we already put on the registry. I did mention a couple craft things to my mom who wanted some ideas that were non-wedding related, so we'll see.

    Angie, I LOVE that dollar gift idea. I love secret santa exchanges (and any gift exchange) with a lower limit because the gifts always end up so creative :)
