Changes

So I went and talked to my advisor today and I've decided to go in a whole new direction! I'm dropping my PR minor and I'm switching to an Anthropology minor while majoring in Communication Theory. I'm still gonna be graduating on time though so that good. Hopefully with this change I will be happier in school. This semester has been miserable so far and its only half over. I'm really hoping that this change will make next semester better.

So how about you guys...have any of you made some big or small changes in your lives lately? (besides getting married or engaged)

I did a change in my graduate project thesis this past summer.  It went from stressing me out cause i was working full time and trying to catch low tide (which is mainly mornings) so I had to try to get work to let me come in late.  But after talking to my advisor I went in a different direction that worked better with my work schedule.  Cut out the field work in exchange for more a more literature based thesis.  After three mental and teary break downs, two moments of despair and four "I need a moment to get away", I'm in a happier place.

I'm glad that you also have your school route working for you.  Good luck and i hope that you're semester gets better from here!

Good luck!  I know what a big change that is!  I started undergrad with an elementary education major and it wasn't until the end of my sophomore year that I realized I was so miserable because of it!  So I changed my major to History and was a million times happier!

As for major changes.....nothing official yet, but the college that I work at might start offering event planning classes so I'm thinking that after the wedding in January I might start taking classes and try to do wedding planning professionally!  I am LOVING everything having to do with weddings and always have....growing up I always wanted to be a wedding planner but never thought it was "a good idea."  Who knows, I may be totally burned out on it by January!

I used to be a history major! I LOVE LOVE LOVE history. Like way back in my freshman year...but I had no idea what I wanted to do with it so I changed it. I'm really excited about my new direction now. Even though I like planning things for myself and friends I don't think that it would've been right for me as a career.
