Fake eyelashes for special occasions, like say my wedding... yay or nay? Can they cause permanent damage?
    Posted by NurseyK
You need to try them at least once before your wedding day.

I had some for my trial, and my eyes hated the adhesive my MUA used. They teared up, and then the adhesive + tears crystallized in my lashes, and it was a big uncomfortable mess.

She used a different adhesive on my wedding day, and it was fine.

So. Trial run is key! :)

I really loved my MUA, BTW. She did my hair, too. She was very reasonably priced and so personable. She came to the venue to do me, my BMs, mom, and MIL. Worth every single penny.
I have really really really oily skin. I wear bare minerals makeup and use a oil free facewash and oil free moisturizer. But I still end up super freaking shiney and my make up looks caked by like 10am. I do the oil blotter sheets, but only if I remember. I tried using an oil free primer under my powder foundation but it did nothing to help. Is there anything else I can do to keep the oil at bay for a little longer during the day? I feel like a gross oily faced teenager when I go into meetings. I also don't wear a lot of eye make up because my skin is so oily (eyelids too) that if I wear eyeliner, I end up with a smudged line on my upper lid about 2 hours after applying. I've tried eyelid primers too with no success. HALP!

I have oily skin, too, and i live by the recommendations and advice on beautypedia.com and cosmeticscop.com.

Here's an article I like on oily skin:
    <a href="http://www.cosmeticscop.com/very-oily-skin.aspx" rel="nofollow">http://www.cosmeticscop.com/very-oily-skin.aspx</a>

She touts her own products, but also does in depth reviews and recommendations on beautypedia, where you can search by skin type and product type.

Look for the "Paula's Picks" - those are the best products! Or check out the Best products list:

The way I understand it, it basically turns the powder into a liquid.  I like the lighter coverage of a powdered makeup (I've never been able to find a liquid that didn't look cakey), but I don't like looking like I've been hanging drywall all day. If you spray water on it, it sort of makes all the powder stick down like a liquid would.
