    That Shinxy chick is crazy. She had this nutso post about having to watch an entire season of "Two and a Half Men" as a test for her BF before he would propose to her. But that wasn't her problem - her problem was she wanted a ring, which her BF refused to buy her.

    The fact that her BF is making her watch an entire series of sub-par comedy in order to get a ring is reminiscent to me making my dog run through a set of tricks before I'll give her her Scooby Snack.

    BF told me that for our engagement, I get a pretty ring and he gets a playstation 3.  I think thats about an even trade. I don't understand the watching a whole season of two and a half men though...

    I got a ring and all FI got was a stupid watch. No wonder it took him 6 years, he knew he'd get jipped.

    Haha, I got a ring first time around and exH got nothing as well... guess I'm evil too.  Maybe thats why the marriage didn't work out?!  I should have gotten him a watch, a PS3 ro something and then we would have lasted forever.  Or maybe I just suck in bed... or he was just an abusive jerk.

    Anywho, BF is adamant about getting me a ring and I have no intention of getting him anything.  I see nothing wrong with this and niether does he.

    It wasn't an engagement present per-se. It was his anniversary present and he happened to propose on the same day. If it weren't our anniversary, I would have been just as mean as you hags and he would have got NOTHING.Tongue out

    Similar to this, every time we have a bit of a disagreement and I feel the need to apologize, I get him a 40 oz. bottle of his favorite microbrew beer - I tell him it's my version of flowers.

    He gets me flowers.  Or kitchen utensils.  He knows me so well!
