Reminder to NEY'ers:

Unfortunately, no pictures. In the mother of all lousy timing, both my camera batteries were dead when I saw it. Then again, I don't know if I could have stopped laughing long enough to take a steady picture.

Got to love pets...sources of ever-steady entertainment. Like the fact that we just moved into a split level townhouse and our dog hasn't quite mastered stairs yet. Apparently, she feels that when you've got a set of four stairs, the two in the middle are optional. Still waiting to catch her on camera doing a somersault down the stairs.

[QUOTE]I assure you that we get the cliquey-ness, newb snark, and board inside jokes. We're "from" (P&)E after all. We just thought the by-laws were a little ridic, so we wanted to come play. And play we did! Oceana, she doesn't fit in the boxes anymore, but she tries really hard. She got stuck with one front leg and her head in one a couple weeks ago. It was hi-larious. I imagine you dog's Bud Light dress was also quite amusing. I hope you got pictures for your benefit! Suc, I don't think I want to know what a baby tap dancing on my cervix feels like...

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Reminder to NEY'ers: : I agree with most of this (I deleted some because it would be a long quote). The by-laws were a good idea at first. And yes, some of it is funny to people who've been here for awhile. My problem with them is that I feel like it makes it seem like we think everything should have the SAME opinion. If you don't you're crazy. I know that's not the intention. But I have noticed that when a "popular" poster comes in and disagrees with the majority opinion, the other posters do a complete 180 as if they're afraid to disagree. It IS ok to have a different opinion. It's a lot more fun too. It's just a general thing, I'm not calling out anyone specific. I apologize if that sounds harsh and I understand people will disagree with me. But don't worry - disagreeing with me is not a violation of the by-laws ;)

Agreed! I have posted opinions that differed from Jeana, Mutley, and Oceana, and they've never been harsh to me. I like to think it's b/c I'm a logical and mature person who makes a good point and who can have a difference of opinion without it becoming a personal battle. I'm not afraid to be contrary just for the sake of variety, either. B/c it is more fun that way. :)

Logic and reason has no place on a wedding site board dedicated to people who are not yet engaged ;)

Cool, I love the area but I'd never be able to convince FI to move up there. He grew up in a little bitty town and he thinks people who want to live in big cities like that are crazy.

I get it. My family is from small farming towns. I would love country living with a short drive to the mall/target and such. I live out in the burbs, so to me its not all that big city.

Yeah the suburbs are too close to the hustle and bustle for him still. Plus he hates driving up there. I think the only way he'd ever agree to it is if we picked one of the outlying suburbs and he worked in the same burb we lived in. He's funny like that.

Oh I wish I could work in the same city I lived it. Life would be fabulous. The way it is right now I have to commute to the U. Not fun. I am not good with traffic.

Are you in MN then, or just near and MSP was the nearest city locale TK offered?

Blech, I hate cities traffic. It sucks, but at least people driving around up there usually know where they're going and even if they drive aggressively, they don't drive like total idiots without a clue. At least that I've noticed.

I'm in Rochester. I put Rochester in as my location, and it said it for a whole week or so, and then all of a sudden TK just changed it to MSP. Weird? I thought so.
