Harry Potter on Monday!

Today's question (if you have not read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows then please use your left-hand exit):

If you could have one (and only one) of the Hallows, which would you choose?  Cloak, Stone, or Wand?  Why?

My answer:  the cloak, and not just because that's the "right" answer.  I am a really private person and I like to be able to hide from the world sometimes.  Being invisible would rock.

    I think I'm a bit like you, I'd like the cloak too. It seems the least complicated of the 3, KWIM?

    But I'd also be tempted by the wand. I'm not too interested in the stone to be honest.

    Hmmm...that's a harder one. I'm not really tempted by any of them but I guess I would choose the stone because I think its the most interesting.

    I'm a little competitive so I would have to say the wand. Also, I am EXTREMELY excited to go see HP this weekend!

    I'd want the cloak for sure. I'd like to "be a fly on the wall" and creep on people's conversations. :)

    I'm with Bren -- it seems like the cloak would bring the least amount of complications. 

    I'm a little ashamed to admit that I would totally use it to spy on people at work. I'm always really curious about what goes on in "confidential" meetings.

    Actually, I'd be really bad with the cloak because I would just want to spy all the time. It would be terrible, and I'd probably ruin my life. Like when Harry finds out Sirius is his godfather and "betrayed" his parents in PoA. My self-control with that cloak would be next to nothing, so maybe the wand would be better for me in that respect.

    Totally the cloak. I would be seriously dangerous with that wand, and honestly, the stone would just freak me out--I REALLY don't want to be around for the end of the world! xD

    I'm soooo excited for the movie--I'm 6 hours ahead of the East Coast so I'll be in the theatre watching before most/all of youuuuu..... BWAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHHH!!!

    Haha.  I was going to say in my original post that I would also use the cloak to facilitate my nosiness, so yeah, I know what you guys mean.

    I would take the wand, b\c as a muggle, then I could do magic stuff. I mostly wish I could apparate. I would also take teleportation.

    I would most like the stone, I would like to be able to help solve murders or just be able to ask people questions about the past. Think of all the bios you would be able to write!

    HAHA I WANT THE WAND!  I wouldn't tell anyone I had it like Dumbledore.  I'd rather have power of the wand.... I feel like the cloak would feed into my gossip side WAY too much!

    Stone freaks me out!  I liked how Harry used it, but I'd be selfish and want people to stay around. 

    hetshup - the way you'd use the stone reminds me of that shower "pushing daisies" or something.  where the guy could touch people and they come to life but he had to touch them again in 60 sec or another person dies.... but he'd help solve their murders.
