Wedding Dress PSA

So does anyone remember a couple months ago when I was all "damn the man, don't believe the bridal dress industry who says you need to order your dress six months in advance?"

Yeah well my dress that I ordered in NOVEMBER is still not here.

    Next time someone gives me a hard time for already having my dress in possession, I'm going to point to this post.

    Is there any way the store could rush it for you?

    They claim it's being shipped by this Thursday so hopefully there will be a happy conclusion to this vent.  I'm just annoyed it's taken this long.

    Both the dresses Ihave I bought at sample sales so I never bought a dress. Good luck with getting your dress in. When is your wedding NQB?

    Thanks!  July 17th so 2+ months.  I need a ticker because I never know exactly how far out it is.  Soon enough to be a little nervous though.

    I always wonder why anyone would wait as long as they could to order their dress. Wouldn't it make more sense to order it as soon as you could?

    I also heard horror stories about dress places making up their own dates to have them in... they figure, well, it will only take US one week to alter teh dress, so they try to get them in the week before. Problem is... sometimes the place the dress shop orders them from sends it late. Or they send the wrong one. Or it's stained or damaged. With so many things that could go wrong, why would anyone tempt fate by waiting until the last possible minute to do anything?
    I was told that the best course of action is to order early AND give an earlier date to the dress shop as to your wedding date.

    Oh man. I'm so sorry NQB! If I was you, I'd give them until Friday and then I'd turn into Bridezilla! Hopefully it will come in Thursday though and you won't have to worry about it.

    That's horrible. NQB. I vote the "give it until Friday and then turn into Bridezilla" option. There are some things you're allowed to be evil about.

    I think I'll just get married in the nude. Save myself the stress.

    :( Hopefully it will make an appearance. Your wedding date is two days before my birthday, though.  And my birthday is the slowest occuring time of the year, so by my calculations they have plenty of time. ;)

    Sigh... I guess I need to go dress shopping VERY soon.  I really wanted to lose weight first though...but I guess I really don't have alot of time!  Oh man...now that I think of it... I hardly have any time at all!  AHHHH!

    Jeter get going!  I wasn't able to buy anything off the rack but hopefully you will find something fast.  They can alter it if you lose weight.
