Every single relationship I know of in which the woman gave the man an ultimatum to marry her has ended.  Whether it be on the spot, or 11 years later.  Ultimatums are really not the way to go.

actually, my math was correct. but i did unwittingly add the wrong two numbers. i probably did her a favor though. she could probably afford to lose 71. i mean damn.. 58 lbs is half of my body! maybe spending a few too many nights sitting on her butt writing judgmental comments about other people's relationship instead of  hopping on the stair-master every now and then.

have any of you ever considered that no two couples are alike? relationships differ from couple to couple. i'm not ashamed to say i gave him a time to make up his mind. i'm embarassed for those of you who would spin your wheels for a guy and never expect him to make any kind of commitment after being together so long. if he didn't know after 7 years, i really don't know how much longer he needed? yes i did give him a push, but honestly, we 've never been happier. he talks about marriage and our future more than i do!

"I don't know guys, that's a really nice thing to have in your house. I have one similar saying written on the walls all over my quiet, neat, non-childproofed home. I have it in my brand new car as a decal on the window. I even wear it on a t-shirt for when I go out to dinner or hang out at a trendy bar or go on a relaxing vacation. "All because I use birth control." It still brings a tear to my eye..." SnarkyMcSnarkerson

That's way meaner than anything anyone else has said. I feel sorry for you. It must really be rough to be so grumpy that you have to insult a woman working to reach a healthy weight.

Also- SKP said TWO WORDS in this entire thread: "Uhhh... what??? "

I hardly think she deserves that kind of heartless insult.

Vidalia, you're hardly sweet.  And you're reported - for personal attack, and for vulgarity.  Neither of those was done by anyone else on here, so I don't know what "villain" you're talking about.

This, and your other comments, is way harsher than anything that anyone else has said on here.  Judgemental comments about another knottie's looks or weight are uncalled for.  IMO, they are mean-spirited and small-minded attacks.  If you cannot contribute to a discussion without debasing yourself, why contribute at all?

Um, I'm pretty sure no one else here judged anyone else for their weight loss ticker.

    Hypocrite.

No wonder why your FI needed an ultimatum. I can see why he wouldn't do it on his own. Someone doesn't agree with you on the Internet and you attack the whole board. You are a peach.
    I'm not good at feelings.

I don't judge you for the ulitmatum nearly as much as I do for saying hurtful, mean-spiritied things to people who don't deserve it.
