[QUOTE]OK, so I had to follow suit and head over there (oops, suit is a playing card reference, that's one of the favors she doesn't like, guess I'm in trouble). WOW is all I can say. Next time we have a newbie complaining around here, let's just send them over to favors and see what they think. Even though I'm doing edible favors, I'm sure she wouldn't like mine cause they're probably going to be too small: a mini muffin cup filled with m&m's (my favorite candy) and a mini reeces peanut butter cup (FI's favorite candy) and a card with a starlight mint tied onto it (their after-dinner mint) that will say something totally corny like "thanks for sharing our special day - it mint so much".

Um, I think that's a WIN, Angie. I really wish we'd put that on our mint tins! :)

[QUOTE]There is cute favors to guest can get use out of. I'm not sure where my sister found them, but they got matches boxes. They said the perfect match, and had their names.

As cheesy as it sounds, that's a cute idea!

Breezer- Matchbooks aren't a good idea, some people don't like fire so this favor will most likely end up in the trash.

Actually, I really like the matches idea and they do come in handy.

Angie- The "mint" idea is so cute!

I like mints, matches and chap stick. I must be horrible at this wedding thing.

    Mine definitely won't be valid

I think I'll have all three at my wedding. I'll place them next to my baskets of insufficiently sized flip flops.

EDIT: Or in my personalized wine glass.

I saw some of that last night - she strikes me as someone who would say that I just followed the trend of having a candy bar and that it'd be a bad idea because it's so overdone. That may be true but I do know that all of my guests loved it and raved about for quite some time afterward.

Thanks ladies for the comments about the mints...FI thinks it's kind of lame, but I love them and his vote doesn't count, so I win.

Angie, that's a fab idea. And I am stealing it. But I'm getting married before you, so really you are stealing it. :)

I enjoyed the NEY takeover. I didn't even know there was a Favors board.

Please do It's a really inexpensive and simple thing to do. I'm planning to just print up cards with the message on cardstock - probably about 3" square and use decorative scissors - 2 little holes near the top/side to put the curling ribbon through and tie them on. Can't wait to see what yours look like.

I never went to favors b/c I thought it would be silly. But I must say it seems okay...I might play there sometimes too.

Especially if my NEY biotches are there! lol

If I got a personalized wine glass, I'd totally use it! Especially more than her yucky homemade jam. All of our wine glasses come from the vineyards we've visited to do wine tastings - most of them let you keep the glass! So for us, the engraved glasses remind us of all the places we'd been and are great talking pieces when we have people over.

That Mod pisses me off, but I did enjoy NEY takeover of Favors. I reported the power-hungry idiot, too.

I would love to get jam too! I'm just glad people give me free stuff..LOL

And I'd totally use wine glasses. In fact, I'd take the wine glasses that other people didn't take. I'm evil like that.

I would like any personalized glassware. I love collecting pint glasses and shot glasses. Where ever FI and I go, I always make sure to get one from somewhere basically for the same reason Cate said.

Paige- That solves the dilema of not having a full set!!

When FI and I started dating, we always listened to a wedding cd his dad got from a wedding. He was so smooooth ;)
