Trash the Dress?

So, I saw my bridal pics today! They look pretty great, if I can be an AW for a moment (what? me? never!). I don't have any pro pics to show you until after the wedding, but trust me, they're great!

So, anyway, I was thinking about how much I would like to do a trash the dress shoot. I am kinda leaning toward it. I mean, after all this crap, a girl should have some fun, right?

I want to jump in a pool in that headache-inducing dress!

What do you think? Would you do it? Know anyone who has done it? Research it for me?

The end of the summer might be a good time. Maybe for my birthday!

    Wow, now I REALLY want to go swimming in my dress. That looks so relaxing.

    What other things do people do for trash the dress shoots?

    That's the only thing I've seen that looks like it really would ruin the dress.  Some people just go to fields, old abandoned buildings, stuff like that.  I saw one where a girl rode a horse in her dress.

    I think trash the dress shoots are friggen amazing, you should totally do it, it will be the stress reducing cherry on top of the wedding cake!

    I want to do a TTD shoot at the MN State Fair, since my wedding is during the fair, it is the largest MN event, my cousins will have cattle there and I used to show cattle. I love the idea of taking pictures in my dress with animals.

    I think it would be fun and I think you should do it.

    My favorite post-wedding dress story is that they turned it into a quilt so that they could actually use it everyday.

    The water damage won't matter much then!  Go for it! Laughing

    I think that's what I'll probably do - a TTD with water settings, then have it made into a quilt.  Great memories!

    Go for it! I'm planning on doing it.  What are you going to enjoy more in the end?  The money you get from selling it?  The way it takes up space in your closet? Or the awesome photo shoot and pictures that you'll have forever?

    I think it's fun when the husband is included... I saw one where they got these really cool shot of the couple throwing paint on each other... I don't know where it was though. :(

    Swimming in the dress would be so cool! I like the idea of a water fight too! That's something Josh could get in on....

    OH! And a pic of him pushing you in/pulling you out of the pool would be cute!!
