Night Thread?

24

Re: Night Thread?

  • Fizzy: I want EVERY SINGLE THING you just named. Omg. My crock pot is Rival. I have no idea what that is, I think it's from Target. I've had it for years. It gets the job done and I have no complaints about it. I'm excited to register for a new, cooler one, though!

  • Buggle- I would like to see pictures of this nail polish shelf thing and also of your make up board.  What is a make up board? please and thank you!

Aud- I know what you mean about cats in the car.  My one cat loves car rides and loves wandering around the car.  The other one thinks that he is being tortured if you take him out of the apartment.  I'm glad we live up north where there are no roaches.

Danser- you should have moscato, yum!

JEN! X-FACTOR ISN'T ON HERE OMGGGGGGGG STUPID FUCKlNG BASEBALL!

ETA: And the best is, it's on a freaking rain delay but the show still isn't on.

  • rdr-  I'm so excited to eat it.  I made them into little meatloaf cupcakes so they are individual serving size.  BF needs to hurry up.

Danser- BF tends to be picky, but I've tried a couple meat crockpot recipes that he's liked so far.  I actually have a whole pinterest page of recipes that I think I could make for him.  I pin and then tell him about it.  If he doesn't make a face when I'm telling him, I usually give it a shot. I'd be happy to share the successful ones with you.

Aud- Hope the bug situation gets better soon!.

[QUOTE]Jen: You guys definitely eat the coolest pizzas ever. Do you make your own dough or buy it? I can't stand that girl! And I thought they were stickers too until the last episode. I will say though, she killed it in her last performance. I like a few people but I don't know any of their names!  Fizzy: I just finished watching Gossip Girl, Hart of Dixie, and 90210. No judging, please! Did you have dinner already?

Mr. JenJen makes the dough from scratch each week. Since moving here he gets to use the Kitchen Aid mixer to do it (rather than his hands).

    I dunno their names either.

[QUOTE]Danser: What I made tonight was super yummy and super easy. I put 1 lb of chicken into the crockpot, sprinkled it with a packet of low sodium taco seasoning, and then dumped in a jar of salsa. Set it on low for 8ish hours. Then shred the chicken and mix. YUM. I vote for the cherry wheat beer.  <strong>Aud: Mum/garter exchange? Explain</strong>. For homecoming, my high school had a parade where each class built a float and the floats were judged by the staff. We would start working on our floats the day school started and work every single night until homecoming. The parade was during the day though before the football game and then we had the big dance at night. The dance was a big deal too. I got my hair and makeup done all 4 years and a new fancy dress for each, also. I loved homecoming!

<div>It's not just Texas!!! I think it's a southern thing. I know Louisiana does mums and garters. But for reals, the blue one in that pic was my favorite mum I ever got, but it was for another school (my bf and I went to different schools) so I couldn't wear it to school. The white one was my senior one and it cost my parents a good chunk of change. And it kinda sucked. Lol. </div><div>
</div><div>We never did a parade, but we had a carnival. School let out early on Friday and we got to hang out in the parking lot and play games and smash a car. Then the game that night and my sophomore year, they moved the dance to the night of the game, which totally sucked, being in the band. I always bought a new dress, but it wasn't ever really super fancy. </div>

<div>Not judging. I was in band and had the same delimma. It was just they still pushed the super fancy dance an hour after the game. It was awful. And my senior year, we lost our first home game in 9 years, much less the first game we'd lost since my freshman year (non play off game). It suuuucked. Everyone was either super depressed or super drunk/high at the dance that night. </div>

  • I never heard of any of those homecoming traditions, drew interesting!!  Homecoming wasn't a big deal really.  The dance was in the cafeteria, I was cheerleader so I had no time to change into any sort of a fancy dress, I mostly remember going in my cheerleading uniform.    That is really all I remember about homecoming though. It seems like another lifetime ago.

Chili's on the menu here sometime this week.  I'm leaning towards Sunday.  BF is a huge Skyline chili fan and I contemplated making a version of that.   I wonder if that would turn out with veggie crumbles.
