Wish me luck? (UPDATE)

I have my colposcopy tonight.  (For those that don't know: Last year's pap came back abnormal, I tested positive for HPV, had a colposcopy, everything was OK.  This year's test came back abnormal also so back in I go).

I'm nervous.  

It's going to hurt. 

I'm going to be in pain afterwards.  

I'm really not looking forward to this at all.

Good luck!  At least you have a precedent of this test coming back okay, so that hopefully helps reduce some of your stress level.

Good luck!! You're braver than I am! I found out that I have to have a scope done, and by a male doctor, both of which freak me out so I have been "forgetting" to call to make the appointment. I did call the lady. Four times. We just keep playing phone tag. 

But, at least you know what to expect and it'll be over before you know it! : )

Good luck Rdr...hope it goes okay, and that everything checks out normal. I had one like 5 years ago, and I don't remember the colposcopy being too awful (although the biopsy DID suck).

Sorry I didn't make it back last night but I loved reading all of your messages while I was in the waiting room!!!  It sucks I can't respond on my phone grrrr

Anyways, the procedure was as sucky as I thought it would be.  He took 3 different biopsies but he said in his opinion they will come back like last year: low-grade & something that we will watch but won't need to treat.  So fingers crossed that he's right!!  I'll get the results next week.

But really, I'm glad he thinks things are ok. I'm sorry you had to go through that! And I'm praying that it all does come back ok. I'm gonna go burn some sage tonight for my NEY friends. We've been goin through some giant piles of elephant crap lately.
