  • Damn it TK! Why did you eat my post?! I"m going to try again. DO NOT EAT MY POST!

I don't care if you pre-plan. I don't care if you want to call yourself "unofficially engaged" or "engaged-to-be-engaged" or if you want to call yourself the moon princess of the sky. I don't know you. I'm not your friend or family. I couldn't care less about what you choose to do with your life. But I don't want to hear about it on this board. There are plenty of other places on the internet that have communities that would welcome your pre-planning. Why not go there instead of trying to change/whining about the dynamic of this board.

IRL you don't make friends by finding a group you don't have things in common with or who have very different views than you and try to change them so you feel accepted. You find a group that has similar interests and values as you. I don't know why you think the internet is different but it isn't. YOU ARE DOING IT WRONG!

It would be mean and violent if it were serious.  What part of BeanBot's post suggested she wanted to be taken literally?  The donkey kick or the uterus?

[QUOTE]Donkey kick. Your uterus. For the sake of the world, one can only pray that the two meet one day.

I realized I'm biased, since I'm currently growing a person in my uterus.

But for me, this crosses a line.

  • Hey OP (and other pre-planners): Just out of curiosity, why do you feel it is acceptable to pre-plan your wedding? Are you also pre-planning having a baby? Have you bought some baby things, like a crib and what not yet? What about a job loss? That's pretty common these days. Do you have several month's salary saved that will absolutely not be spent on your pre-planned wedding? Have you made sure that you have no debt so that if you do lose your job, you don't have to worry about spending your savings on your debt? What about your retirement? Do you already have enough saved for your entire retirement? How about your funeral? Have you already booked and paid for the funeral home and selected your casket and all that? Cuz if so come talk to me. I'd like to know how you've managed to save up so much money at such a young age to have all those things covered. If you think that what I've posted is crazy and you shouldn't have to pre-plan those things, then apply the same thinking to your wedding pre-planning!

    Also, happy random photo:
