    I missed this?? So sad.

OP, I suggest becoming unofficially pregnant. Then he'll HAVE to propose!

Ocean-- I have watermelon mint juice. You can use it! It's so good.

Seriously, people, it might be a shocker, but many of us were not born engaged, so we are giving advice based upon our own situations.

I'm sorry I missed this awesomeness.

I also recommend getting pregnant. Just make sure it's by him, otherwise your plan may backfire.

Nah it's ok as long as you get married before you have the kid and he knows it isn't his.

Ooooooh!  See all the fun things I miss when I'm off being sick and napping?

Mutley, I'll be holding your water bottle and towel in your corner.  Girls, make me some popcorn and a margarita for this one!

Unless the noob snapped at Mutley and ran... which might have been the smart thing to do...

i don't understand why some girls are really into the ideas of being proposed on holidays. does it really matter? i mean, years ago, when i was younger, i thought it would be so cute if that's the case. but really, it doesn't matter. as long as he has his own plan. my FI proposed to me the day before valentine's day. he doesn't like the idea of proposing on holidays. but he did it in front of both of our parents. so really, it shouldn't matter when he does it. if he asked ur ring size, he's very likely working on it.

I would rather it NOT be a holiday - that just seems to be canned!  Unless that particular holiday means something to you two as a couple - like Halloween was the first time we went out as a couple (instead of just as friends).

Also, I don't celebrate Valentines.  At all.  I think it's a dumb holiday, and a sure-fire way to make everyone miserable.  I hate watching my colleagues wait all day to get flowers, or to announce that their husband bought them earrings.  Single women feel left out, and men feel like they have to live up to what their wives' friends get from their husbands (or girlfriend's friends, but ya know).

I'd rather he do something sweet any other day of the year than on Valentines.
