I am so mad!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (vent)

Ok so I need to vent.

First I want to say I love my father but sometimes he drives me mad. He decided that he wanted to get me mom a 32 gb IPod touch. He decided to wait until this week to try to find it. The only place that had it in stock was the Apple store. My dad did not want to buy it from there because he did not want to pay full price when Walmart and Best Buy had it on sale. The only problem was Walmart and Best Buy were both sold out and did not know when they would get more.

I told my dad that we would just buy it on Amazon because with one day shipping it was cheaper than the Ipod was at regular price before tax at the Apple store. He did not want to buy it because he was worried that it would not be here in time. I told him that it would be and not to worry. He reluctantly agreed so I bought it for him on my Amazon account.

Well needless to say the IPod will not be here tomorrow like we paid $20 for it to be! Amazon says that it might still get here tomorrow but UPS is saying no way. So now it looks like the IPod will not be here tomorrow even though Amazon "guaranteed" that is will be here on the 24th. So now my mom may not have here IPod for Christmas. Oh and Best Buy got their shipment this morning so yea.... I'm pretty pissed off.

    Sorry to hear about your stress. Will you will get a full refund if it was not on time ? I know several sites were offering that so that might be worth checking into. If you have the funds to spare for a day or so you could buy the one from best guy just in case and if the Amazon one does show up you can return one.

    I heard about some websites offering a refund if it does not get here by tomorrow but unfortunately Amazon does not offer that.

    My dad wanted to cancel the order but we can't cancel it we will just have to return it when it gets here if that is what he wanted. The problem is he said he doesn't have the spare money to get her one now until get can return the other one.

     He said he may just wrap a picture of it and have her open that on Christmas lol.

    It might still get here on time. Canada Post estimated something I ordered from Anthro wouldn't get here until Monday, December 20th, but it actually arrived the day before on the Sunday. I know it takes away from the idea of Christmas if she can't unwrap it then, but if she still gets it, that's enough in the end. Although it would suck about paying for shipping.

    You can get a full refund. Just go through their customer support. I ordered a steam cleaner for my FI for Christmas on the 8th, and did 2-day shipping. By the 13th I was annoyed, but waited two more days. I filled out the customer support thing online and got a refund pretty much immediately. Funny thing is, I ended up getting it on the 21st. 2-day shipping my arse. We called them, and they said they'd put out a return to sender for UPS to print up a label and pick it up so we didn't even have to pay to ship it back. So, we got a refund even though they really did ship the thing, and didn't have to pay to send it back once it did arrive because it did not arrive on time.

    Thanks heyimbren. You have given me hope that it will still be here tomorrow. Amazon already agreed to refund the shipping if it does not get here tomorrow. I told them we weren't paying for one day shipping if it was not here when it was suppose to be. This item was eligible for free shipping but we upgraded it so if it is not here tomorrow my dad will get $20 back. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though!

    I've had trouble with Amazon, as well... I paid for them to ship something by the next day and "it got lost in transit"... They had to send me another one... It took 3 days to get it... then the original one came a week later and I had to ship it back... They are a pain in the @$$!

    Call them and complain... They might give you a promotional credit for $15 or so... Not that it helps with getting your mom's gift on time but it's a little something...

    Wow Lyz that sucks. Well they refunded the shipping yesterday but the UPS tracker says that it is out got delivery. I really hopes it gets here today. That would be really great if it did!
