Next Big To-Dos?

What are your next big items on the to do list?

My 2nd to last fitting is this Saturday! The seamstress is taking measurements for the hem and bustle now, and just making sure all is well with the waist/bust/hips fit. 

I also need to call the caterer and see about her opinion concerning $500 towards a liquor tab. FIL's are paying for this, and this is what they'd like to spend, but they are willing to spend a little more if need be. We need to do some math, so we need to know the price per beer, mixed drink, and glass of wine. We will have no more than 40 drinking adults present (if all RSVPd yes) for a total of 5 hours, with most probably drinking more after dinner. 

As for the parent dances, I've changed my mind. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I really did want my dance with my dad. FI and his mom still are probably not doing theirs, but FI is going to ask her again in a week or two, because he wants to hear it from her, not through his dad, and in case she said no in anger. 

I'm also waiting for the pastor to reply to me about the programs. He was supposed to go over the copy I gave him and make sure all the wording was correct, but no word yet and I gave him the copy over a month ago.

Em, I'm also waiting for FI's mom to pick a song for the mother/son dance.  FI asked her if she wanted to and she said no b/c she feels fat (she's overweight but not really big). He's going to just say pick a song, we're doing it, at some point this weekend.

other than that, I'm collecting RSVPs for the next 3.5 weeks...nothing else to do wedding-wise!

We're planning out our ceremony now...after finally meeting with our officiant.  This is the fun part We're also still finalizing our music playlist for the reception.

We also need to buy wedding insurance and booze, but we probably won't buy that until later this month. 

Other than that, it's showers and party time.

I thought I had not much to do but I have sooo much it feels like. I have to:

Make the Programs
Make up and go over the playlist with the DJ
Finalize the details for the venu (linens, open bar details, food)
Finish the favors
Keep working out to fit into my dress AHHH (I have a fitting this week)
Find a new make up artist
Finalize the flowers (meeting with florist this weekend to approve samples!!!)

I hope that's it!!!

I have my 2nd to last fitting this weekend too, I still have to finish the raffia starfish chair hangers and buy candy for the buffet (8 different kinds).  

Other than that - we've got to finish the seating assignments (RSVP date is next weekend so we'll get final numbers then) and with that we can make the escort cards.

We are still working on some DIY projects that require nice weather so we can spray paint outside!    Other projects: programs and seating chart.

DD and FI are working on their ceremony with the officiate, plus still working on play list & dance song choices to give to the DJ.

We are at 44 days and I feel like we have tons to do yet!! Ack!

EM- it sounds like things are finally coming together for you - I'm so happy about that. I hope FIs talk with his mom goes well.

I have my final dress fitting tomorrow!
FI and I just met with the priest last week and we are in the process of deciding on programs.
We're also buying candies and molds to make our chocolate sunflower lollipop favors that double as escort cards (my mom is a genius).

So exciting!! This is my list for this weekend:

- Final Dress fitting tomorrow
- Cut & assemble programs, menu/table numbers, favor inserts/place cards
- print, cut, tape votive luminaries/table numbers
- put together men's bathroom basket
- begin letter to fiance for final meeting with reverend next Saturday

It'll be a busy one! I'm also getting my nails done with my future SIL who is also my really good friend, and it'll be the place where we get our nails done the day before!

My biggest to-do is getting my first dress fitting done with! Wedding is seven weeks away, and I have my first fitting next week! Then it's all about decor and meeting with the dj! I can't believe it came on so fast!

We also need to finalize the mother/son song. We need to discuss the music with our ceremony guys. We need to finalize the song list for dinner & dancing. We need to make a 'must take' list of photos. We need to assemble favors. I need to drop off the aisle runner and thank you sign at my MOH for her to paint them (she volunteered). I'm having my hair/makeup trial this Sunday. My mom needs alterations on her dress, I need to break in my shoes. I need to book catering for the wedding morning brunch & rehearsal dinner. I need to make a vendor list for my DOC. I need to make a timeline for my DOC. 

Oh, and I need to LOSE WEIGHT!

I STILL can't believe it's already March!!! So much to do hehe...

Here's my list:

-plan ceremony details (priest won't be calling me until the end of the month - yikes)
-get cake server engraved
-final fitting
-make up programs
-confirm song list with DJ
-confirm ceremony song list with string quartet
-confirm date/important pic list with photographer
-finish making favors

And of course the next month is going to be INSANE at work...figures lol.

My shower is this weekend so that will be taking up one of my days.  Other than that, I'm working on planning the ceremony, putting together centerpieces and seating arrangements.

Wow I feel behind! But then again I just had surgery so I am still stuck in recovery mode. Which is driving me crazy! To-do: -hair/make up trial -bridal pictures -order tux's -send out invites -finalize wedding luncheon and buffet menu -make sure mom and fmil have their dresses -pick bm shoes -meet with all vendors to finalize everything -finish slideshow and family tree pictures -work on diy guest book -get apartment ready for fi to move in

Reading all of your posts is reassuring. I think I'm on track with the rest of you!
 -I dont think I'm getting alterations to the dress. Haven't lost enough weight to make a big difference. It's fine, just needs to be pressed/cleaned, but I've got a groupon for that!
-make a final decision on how to wear my hair
-break in my shoes (but I've got a back up pair too)
-final appts with the DJ, Photographer (scheduled), and florist (This week), and venue (2 wks before)
-send the invites officially for the rehersal dinner
-finish escort cards/table assignments
-meet with our officiate (we've got the ceremony figured out)

And most importantly...GET MARRIED!!!  I'm stalking the RSVP list, though...
And to mention my FI has a list of things to do, so I guess I should add "Keep on FI about his list" to mine!

Work is going to be the bear here for me, I'm more stressed about work.

Gosh! I feel so far behind (and I have had over a year to plan!) but here is what I have left:

- Order Flower girl pennant, Order Bell for the "Ringing Bearer", Order guest book, order signage, order postcards for best wishes letters, order sparklers for exit.

- Get pictures from parents for table #'s (using pictures from childhood), get pictures of parents and grandparents for guest book table

- buy gift for MOH and RB. (have greeter and flower girl gifts), Order Parents gifts!

- final fitting for dress

- Make Escort cards and seating plan, make welcome baskets for hotel, make midnight snack favors, make kids table bags

- Wedding programs

- finalize plans with DJ 

I feel like I am forgetting something.
