Actually wearing the ring

1) To do dishes? Sometimes

2) In the shower? Never

3) To wash your hands? usually

4) While you're sleeping? no

5) At work? yes

6) At the gym? yes for cardio like spinning or other cardio machines.  No for weight training.

8) At the beach or in the pool? I haven't been to either since getting engaged.  That's a good question.  I'm not sure if I would want to leave me engagement ring in the hotel room, so I would say yes if I'm on vacation.

9) When you're traveling? yes

10) Anywhere else I may have forgot? I just remembered, I usually take it off before I cook.  So, I guess I'm saying in the kitchen lol.

I don't really do dishes much (that's FI's job). The last time I did, I think it was in the morning before I put my ring on.

2) In the shower?
No, I put it on when I get dressed.

3) To wash your hands?
Yes

4) While you're sleeping?
Nope. I take it off when I get ready for bed.

5) At work?
Yes

6) At the gym?
Yes, but I do tap dance, so I don't get super sweaty.

8) At the beach or in the pool?
No

9) When you're traveling?
Depends where. I had to problem taking it to London. I bought a simple sterling silver band for when we travel to places I'm not comfortable bringing my regular ring.

10) Anywhere else I may have forgot?
I take it off for anything sticky/dirty, like applying lotion or gardening.

I only take it off to play softball because it feels funny inside my glove although if I forget to take it off before I leave the house, I'll just wear it and it doesn't really bother me.

ETA: I also take it off if I'm baking because I usually do a lot of mixing with my hands and it's a pain to get cookie dough out of my ring!

1) To do dishes? No.  It gets loose when it's wet, and I'm afraid of it falling off down the drain.


2) In the shower? No.  See #1.
 
3) To wash your hands? Yes.  I used to always take it off, and then I almost walked out of a public bathroom without putting it back on.  Thankfully, I remembered as I was walking out the door.  Now, I usually keep it on and make sure to dry my hands carefully to avoid skin irritation.

4) While you're sleeping? Yes.

5) At work? Yes.

6) At the gym? No.  I leave it at home.  I used to lock it in my locker inside my bag when I'd go straight from work to the gym.  I hate sweating with the ring on.  It either gets too loose from the sweat or my fingers swell from the activity and it gets too tight.  Ugh.

8) At the beach or in the pool? Sometimes.  Although, I'm always terrified it will slip off, and I end up swimming with a closed fist.  Not the most effective.  Haha.

9) When you're traveling? Yes.  Although I turn it around on the subway. 

10) Anywhere else I may have forgot? Nothing comes to mind right now.

I wear mine at all times except for putting on lotion (because I don't want gunk getting in there) and blow drying my hair (because when I run my fingers through my hair, hairs get trapped in the prongs. Ouch).

I wear my ring all the time.

I take it off when I shower and when I do dishes.

But I do wear it at the gym, sleeping, washing my hands, etc.

I try to wear gloves on the Subway, or at least turn it around if I feel worried about it.

You'll get used to it : )

The only time I take my ring off is when applying lotion or when we go diving.  Other than that, it's on 24/7.

Do/Would you wear your ring....

1) To do dishes? Nope, I take it off and it sits on the sill right in front of me.  I put it on when I'm done washing dishes, sometimes I forget and I run back into the kitchen when I realize I"m not wearing it. But most of the time as soon as I get home it goes in the ring box. 

2) In the shower? Nope see note above about what happens when I get home.

3) To wash your hands? Depends, if my hands need a through wash I'll take off my ring to wash my hands.  My mom warned me about forgetting it in a public restroom so I'm paranoid and always keep my eye on it.  But if its just a quick rinse I'll leave my ring on.

4) While you're sleeping?  I don't like wearing anything on my hands when I sleep, I  have a fear of scratching my own face.

5) At work?  I can wear it at work, no problems about that.   Though I knock it into things sometimes I have to be more aware of what my hands are doing.

6) At the gym?  On a cord around my neck when I'm doing weights, if its spin class or any other gym class that doesn't require my hands to be flailing about I'll wear it. 

8) At the beach or in the pool? Nope my ring already gets really loose when my hands are cold I don't need to add in slippery water.

9) When you're traveling?  Depends on where.  I went snowboarding this weekend in Northern California at Mammoth Mountain and I left my ring at home.  I didn't trust leaving my ring in the condo we were staying at and I didn't want to wear it on the slopes.  Four days without my ring felt so weird.  I would look down expecting to see it and it wouldn't be there.  As soon as I got home FI grabbed it and put the ring on my finger.  Guess I wasn't the only that missed it.

10) Anywhere else I may have forgot? Sex, cause yeah I'll wear it then too ;-D I won't wear it hiking or any outdoor physical sport.

When I was working, yes.

Depends. I wore my ring on the plane and when we were in taxis in St. Lucia, or when we were out to dinner, I wore the ring. But if we were walking around Soufriere (which was the town we stayed in) or on the beach, I left it in the hotel room, hidden in my suitcase. The hotel room didn't have a safe or else I would have kept in there.

10) Anywhere else I may have forgot?
I don't wear it when I cook, especially if I have to work with raw meat or mix something by hand, like my meatloaf. Basically, I only wear it if I'm out of the apartment and not at the gym or a beach or a pool. FI used to get mad when I didn't wear it around the house, but his great aunt who made the ring said "Why should she wear it if she's not going out of the house?" So he doesn't complain anymore.
